DECEMBER 9th LEVEL 7 CLASS

TOPICS : FIRST CONDITIONAL / VOCABULARY NATURAL DISASTERS

TOPIC 1 FIRST CONDITIONAL: In English we use this conditional to express
probable or possibilities situations in the future if the condition occurs.
Remember for a conditional we need a “Condition” and a “Result” , in this
case the result will be a probability in the future.
Grammar structure: If + Simple Present, Future simple (with
will/could)

Condition Result

Will: iré/ irá/iremos/irán

Will go: iré
Have: tener
Will have : tendré/ tandrán/tendrá
Be : ser o estar
Will be : seré / estaré / será / estará / serán/ estarán
He will go to the party
El irá a la fiesta
COULD: Podría
I could be : Yo podría ser / yo podría estar
Example : If I study harder for the exam, I will pass it.
Si estudio mucho para el examen, Lo pasaré.

If I learn English , I could live in England.

Si aprendo ingles, Podría vivir en Inglaterra.

Remember:
For conditionals you can put the condition first and the result or you can put the result first
and then the condition, this has the same meaning.

Example :
If I have money , I will buy some clothes. ( Si tengo plata, Compraré algo de
ropa)
Or
I will buy some clothes If I have money. ( Compraré algo de ropa si tengo
plata)

If I Will buy some clothes , I have money ( Not possible)

It is exactly the same , it doesn’t change the meaning.

Remember:

Simple present : In negative or interrogative forms we use auxiliaries (Do/Does)

Do not : don’t

Does not : doesn’t

Eaxmple : I don’t …. / She doesn’t
