The Cricova Winery

The Cricova Winery was founded in 1952, representing a unique


underground complex, known worldwide for its huge labyrinths and
especially for its excellent wines. A landscaped area with many
vineyards and plenty of sunshine. This is where the history of pearls of
Moldovan winemaking begins, in the central area of Moldavia, the
Codrilor area. The Wine Plant located in Cricova, Republic of Moldova,
is located 11 km from the capital Chisinau. He was awarded the highest
state distinction of the Order of the Republic, the Cricova Winery, being
the only winery that owns this award. From August 28, 2003, the object
of the cultural and national patrimony of the Republic of Moldova was
declared by law.
Monastic Complex ,,Old Orhei”.

The ancient city Old Orhei is a unique natural and historical complex in
the open air. Tt comibines the natural landscape and the ancient
civilizations. Old Orhei contains traces of different civilizations including
the rests of wooden fortresses. Old Orhei is famous for the cave
monasteries. They were isolated from the outer world. There are big
and sole caves in the calcareous rock. In these caves lived monks and
deepened them. There also appeared new caves. News days some
caves are preserved welt but others were damaged, of fell in waters of
Raut river. However many complex are in good condition.
