Food processing
Food processing is the transformation of
agricultural products into food, or of one form
of food into other forms.
Food consumption drives demand, and this
depends on population growth. The
profitability of individual companies
depends on efficient operations, because
products are commodities subject to intense
price competition.

The pioneer years
Our history begins in 1866, with the foundation of the Anglo-
Swiss Condensed Milk Company. Henri Nestlé develops a
breakthrough infant food in 1867, and in 1905 the company
he founded merges with Anglo-Swiss, to form what is now
known as the Nestlé Group. During this period cities grow
and railways and steamships bring down commodity costs,
spurring international trade in consumer goods.

Quality and safety

Quality and Safety for our consumers is

Nestlé’s top priority. This applies to our entire
portfolio, from foods and beverages to all our
systems and services.
Quality and safety
For Nestlé, certification to ISO 14001 and OHSAS
18001 provides external recognition that their
factories comply with internal requirements in the
areas of environmental sustainability and
occupational health and safety,
Quality Management
System
Ensures our ongoing access to high quality raw
materials. It also enables farmers to protect or even
increase their income. Often the standard of living of
entire rural communities is raised as a result. The
system helps address key global environmental and
social issues.
Quality by design
Quality is built in during product development
according to the requirements of the consumers
and following all food safety and regulatory
requirements. Nestlé’s R&D network applies in
this "Quality by design" to all of our products.
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points

We apply the internationally recognized HACCP

(Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point)
system to ensure food safety.

Our HACCP plans and systems are verified by

external certification bodies against the
international ISO 22’000:2005/ISO 22002-1
standards.

Machines Behind the
Making Food
Handtman PVLH241 Sausage Making
Machine

With this machine, it's much easier to make both

cooked sausage or dry ones like mini-salami. Of
course, sausages or salami don't come in the shape
you're familiar with.
Unifller Cake Finishing Equipment
With this cake finishing equipment, it's easy to
create the same delicious cake all the time. Yeah, it
may be difficult to make the same cake without a
mistake if it was made by humans, but technology
never fails to succeed, or at least in food processing.
Egg Breaker OVO-tech
This machine can wash, disinfect, and break 25,600 eggs
per hour
Weber Smart Loader Side Loading
System
This machine is an automatic side
loading system for single products or
individual portions. It can be used for
sliced products and it can be
combined with different types of
slicers and portioners.
