Materials
 Medium worsted weight yarn.
• Red: Holly Berry – Red Heart with Love.
• Black: Black – Red Heart Super Saver.
• Yellow: Gold – Red Heart Super Saver.
• White: White - Red Heart Super Saver.
 Crochet hook: D/3 - 3.25 mm (see Gauge).
 Tapestry needle.
 Stitch marker.
 Scissors.
 Polyester fiberfill stuffing.
 Pins.

Gauge
You can use a different hook and type of yarn other than the ones listed but remember to check
your gauge.
Gauge is not critical but it’s important that stitches are close together and a bit tight (but not
too much) so stuffing is not visible.
Consider crocheting a sample first; let’s say the first 5 rows of the doll’s head. Then take some
stuffing, place it behind this circle and push it, this will stretch your work.
If the stitches stretch too much and you can see the stuffing, try to tighten your crochet or change
your hook to a smaller size. I tend to crochet a bit loose and that is why I prefer to use a D/3 hook.
If you feel like it is hard to crochet (stitches are too close together and it is hard to pull the
hook/yarn through) crochet more loosely or change to a bigger hook.
Crocheting too tight for too long is going to make your hands hurt, trust me!

Recommendations
I encourage you to first read each section before starting. Become familiar with the layout and
instructions, this will ease your crochet.
Although you can follow this pattern starting in any section, it is suggested that you follow the
order of this pattern as it is presented. Each section builds up on the next section and various
techniques may be presented that could be missed if the pattern isn’t followed as it is presented.

Abbreviations
ch = chain * * = repeat from* to * as many times as indicated.
st = stitch BLO = back loop only FLO = back loop only
sc = single crochet MR = magic ring FO = finish off
hdc = half double crochet dc = double crochet sl st = slip stitch
dec = decrease (decrease 2 sc together) inc = increase (crochet 2 sc in same st)

Finished size
This doll is approximately 11” tall. Your finished doll might turn out bigger or smaller
than 11 inches depending on the yarn and hook you use and your gauge (tension).
