III. PROCEDURE
A. PRELIMINARIES
1. Prayer
2. Checking of Attendance
3. Classroom Setting
4. Reviewing the Previous Lesson
5. Reading of the Objectives
B. LESSON PROPER
1. Explore (Activity)
Drag and Drop
The students will be divided into three groups. They will be playing a game called Drag
and Drop where they will be completing the titles of different songs using words provided.
They will be doing this on Google Jamboard. Each group will choose a representative to play
the Drag and Drop. They will be given 10 seconds to complete as many song titles as they want,
but there will only be a limited number of provided words from the pool, so they will be racing
with the other groups. The group with the most number of completed titles will win. The
teacher will be sharing the Jamboard screen so everyone could see the game.

2. Firm Up (Analysis)
Singing Bee: Express your Love (Spotify Playlist)
This time, everyone will be playing the Singing Bee. They will be completing the lines of
the songs from the earlier activity that will be played with part of the lyrics flashed on the
screen. Once they complete all the songs, a Spotify playlist entitled ‘Express your Love’ will be
flashed on the screen.
The teacher will then process the activity through asking the following:
1. What is the playlist about?
2. How do you find the playlist?
3. Who do you think created the playlist? What kind of person is he or she?
4. To whom do you think is the playlist dedicated?
5. Is there any item on the playlist that you like? Why?
6. What is the message of the playlist? How can you say so?
7. Share a few lines from any of the entries on the playlist which you like.

Responses will then be bridged to the next part of the discussion.

3. Deepen (Abstraction)
3.1 Socialized Discussion 1
Lines containing adverbials of frequency from the earlier activity will be presented on
the screen. The teacher will ask the students what they notice about the lines. The students will
recall what they know about adverbs of frequency and what its function is in a sentence. The
teacher will then proceed to discuss how adverbials of frequency could have specific locations
within a sentence. The teacher will introduce the class to the preverbal adverbs of frequency.

3.2 Small Group Discussion

The class will then be grouped based on the first activity. They will be tasked to come
up with a grammar rule on placing preverbal adverbs of frequency. They will be given a guide
question and some examples for them to analyze as a group. They will do their small group
discussion in their own forums through Livestorm, with the link to be given by the teacher.
They will be given 5 minutes for the task. The teacher will visit each room to check on the
SGD.
3.3 Socialized Discussion 2
After coming up with their preverbal adverb of frequency grammar rule from their
SGD, the students will then choose a representative per group to share their PAFs grammar
rule to the class. The teacher will facilitate the discussion.

3.4 Initial Practice (Formative Assessment)

The teacher will get lines with adverbials of frequency from the songs in the playlist.
Afterwards, the students will be asked to revise the sentence making it contain a preverbal
adverb of frequency.

3.5 Valuing
Using the lines from the Initial Practice and going back to the playlist presented earlier,
the teacher will then ask the students: What song will you add to the playlist to express your
love for someone? Why do you need to express your love for others? The teacher will process
the responses.

4. Transfer (Application)
The students will be working with their groups. Each group will be given a task whih
they will discuss in their respective Livestorm rooms. The instructions will be provided along
with the performance standards. After 5 minutes, they will be sharing their output to the class.

Task Cards:

Group 1: Express your love for your friends by creating an Infographic about Netiquette for Online
Classes. Observe the use of preverbal adverbs of frequency.

Group 2: Express your love for yourself by composing a Song about Motivation for Modular Learning.

Group 3: Express your love for your family by creating an Infommercial about Health and Safety Protocols
