• Example 1: A gas reservoir has the following information:
• 𝜇𝑔 =0.0123 cp, ∅= 0.19, 𝑐𝑡 =7*10−4 𝑝𝑠𝑖 −1 , k=17 md, 𝑟𝑤 =0.3 ft, h=171 ft.
• a. Calculate the effective drainage radius after 3 hours of production at a constant rate assume infinite
acting reservoir.
• b. Assume the reservoir is finite with fixed pressure boundary, calculate effective drainage radius after
two days of flow at constant rate assuming reservoir radius = 3000 ft.
• c. If the reservoir is closed, calculate effective drainage radius when the flowing time is 5110 hr.
