IDEA GENERATION:
DIRECT SREACH:
During the situation of COVID-19 Longhorn Vaccines and
Diagnostics and cenetron Diagnostics team up with Coca-Cola
Bottlers to produce test tube. Oak Ridge national laboratory
discovered the soda performs fit the COVID-19 test tube dimensions.
TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION:
Coca-Cola Consolidated, Inc. (COKE) today announced that
South-eastern Container, a PET preform and bottle manufacturing co-operative
funded and managed by a group of Coca-Cola bottlers, has begun producing test
tubes for use in COVID-19 kits. Utilizing several injection molding preform
tools, the manufacturing co-operative has already produced over 7 million tubes
for testing kits.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL DEVELOPMENT:
ALLIANCES:
Both the organization’s have alliances together
strategically to meet the goals. Coca-Cola will be providing the
bottles and diagnostic center technicians will be executing the idea by
using the bottles to make test tube.
BUSINESS ANALYSIS:
MARKETING STRATEGY:
This collaboration is going to be key for plugging gaps in the supply chain for
COVID-19 tests,” said Randy Schunk, lead engineer for Sandia’s COVID-19
advanced manufacturing projects. “Gamma irradiation is an efficient and
common way to sterilize medical supplies in bulk. Sandia is doing the research
and development to find the right level of gamma radiation to sterilize the tubes
without damaging the components, plastic or the tubes’ seals.”
Sandia’s protocols will be shared with medical sterilization facilities around the
country that receive tubes from South-eastern Container to sterilize.
MARKET TESTING
Five testing companies that conduct COVID-19 tests within US are
currently in line to begin using the performs.
COMMERCIALIZATION:
The preforms will be manufactured by South-eastern Container
(SEC), based in North Carolina, which is a co-operative funded and managed by
a group of Coca-Cola bottlers. SEC can produce over 7 million test tubes per
week, helping to reach US testing goals.
It’s a very good idea and explained beautifully, yet I asked to bring in any new
idea of your own. But still appreciate your effort and to increase my knowledge
as well.
