Goal 1 achievement:
By the end of my PS 2 part of the practicum I feel like I have built positive
relationships with my students. My first lesson was solely dedicated to telling the
students about my life, letting them ask questions, and having them fill in a sheet
about themselves. Students were enthused and interested in doing this and eager
to hear about me and to share about themselves. I read through their sheets
which gave me a better understanding of my students and how to meet their
needs. One of the main indications of success for this goal is the ability I have to
joke around and be myself around the students. It is rewarding to be able to have
casual conversation with the students and switch straight back to learning or even
incorporating the jokes and fun into the learning.

Goal 2 achievement:
By the end of my PS 2 practicum I fell like I have begun to feel more confident
about the assessment system in the school. Not only have I received a copy of the
report card but I have figured out what parts I will be solely responsible for and
what parts I will be helping with. This has really helped to guide my creation of
summative assessments. Not only do my summative assessments line up with the
required SLOs but they also line up with report card. This has really helped me to
feel more prepared in regards to assessing the students. I also was able to have a
meeting with my TA and go over my concerns and questions about assessment.
This is a goal that I feel like I can extend into PS 3 and continue to work on my
summative assessment practices.
