Symptoms of FPV

1. Feline Panleukopenia.
2. Symptoms vomiting, tiredness, loss of interest drowsy, not eating or drinking,
loose motions, sometimes blood in stools (We didnt experience), Fever (Cannot be
noticed easily in furry cats), buy a thermometer.
3. Day 1 active.
saturday Day 2 injection at 10.am, started sleeping longer and deeper during the
day. eating was ok.
Day 3 didnt eat anything all day and sitting in the corner and not at all active
all day.
Ran bloodwork and found out WBC was really low.
Diagnosed. Filgrastim, doxy, drip feed, saline and dextrose, antacids etc.
Loose motions during canula insertion. Advised no food and water for 3 days.
drips twice a day.
Day 4 Weaker, but after drips and medication a bit better compared to Day 3.
Day 4 evening heavy fever 105 degrees and unable to move, no objection during
injection.
Day 5 morning Canula removed. Didnt vomit since Day 3, also no potty. He pees a
lot.
Day 5 evening Filgrastim, little bit of solid food and no vomiting.
Day 6 Morning more active. ate a bit with medicine sleeping now. Looks really
promising. 1 tsp food
royal canin digestive food.
4. Day 7 sleeps about 60% of the time, a bit slow still but awake for 40% of the
time. eating 1 tsp every 2-3 hours.
Final dose of filgrastim
Evening Spoilt beyond words. rubbing body against us.
Day 7 Active in the morning. playing around ate 2 heaped tespoons of food.
Day 7 : Discovered ruptured intestine. Megacolon/ Fistula. Admitted.
Day 8 Final blood test scheduled. Consulted and X-rayed.
Day 9 : Morning. Decision to Euthanize. :(
