Installation Roadmap
A complete Tosca 2016 installation includes several components which must be installed separately.
The following table outlines the tasks required to install and configure SIMULIA Tosca Structure and/or SIMULIA
Tosca Fluid.
Task Instructions
Install license server software. You can use either FLEXnet licensing Installing a License Server
or Dassault Systèmes licensing, depending on which type of license
file you have.
Install SIMULIA Tosca Structure software and/or SIMULIA Tosca Installing Tosca Software
Fluid software.

Installing a License Server
1. To start the FLEXnet installer on Windows, double-click or execute the following file:
<extract-dir>\<media_name>\1\SIMULIA_Flexnet\Windows64\1\setup.exe
2. To start the FLEXnet installer on Linux, execute the following file:
<extract-dir>/<media_name>/1/SIMULIA_Flexnet/Linux64/1/StartGUI.sh
3. Follow the instructions in the dialog boxes that appear to complete the installation.
Log files are written to the following directory when the installation is complete:
<flex_install_dir>/InstallData/log/CODE/os/media_name/
For information about configuring licensing, see the FlexNet License Administration Guide
(FlexNet_License_Administration_Guide.pdf). If you have Abaqus, there is additional information
given in the Abaqus Installation and Licensing Guide.
1. To start the DSLS installer on Windows, double-click or execute the following file:
<extract-dir>\<media_name>\1\DS_License_Server\1\SetupDSLSmsi.exe
2. To start the DSLS installer on Linux or Unix, follow these steps:

After the installation finishes, you must use the Dassault Systèmes License Administration Tool to enroll your
Tosca licenses on the Dassault Systèmes license server; see “Enrolling Product Licenses” in the Dassault Systèmes
License Server Installation and Configuration Guide. You must enroll the licenses before continuing with the
Tosca product installation.

1. Extract the .tar or .zip documentation media archive file into any directory.
2. On Windows, run the following executable file to start the installer:
<extract-dir>\<media-name>\1\DOC_SIMULIA_Isight_TOSCA\1\setup.exe
On Linux, run the following executable file to start the installer:
<extract-dir>\<media-name>/1/DOC_SIMULIA_Isight_TOSCA/1/StartGUI.sh
3. After the installer finishes, open the following file in a web browser:
<doc-install>/English/DSSIMULIA_Established.htm

• FLEXnet: 27000@jupiter
• DSLS: jupiter:4085
After the installation has finished, you can change the license server settings by modifying the tosca_env.cmd
file in the following location:
<install-dir>/<os>/code/command/tosca_env.cmd
If you have installed in the default location on Windows, the file location is:
C:\Program Files\Simulia\Tosca\V6R2016x\win_b64\code\command\tosca_env.cmd
