Welcome New and Current Employees

We are very pleased that you have joined our company. We hope that you will take
advantage of opportunities to expand your career and goals as you familiarize
yourself with Spectrum’s mission and family-like culture.

You are joining a company with outstanding leadership and knowledge. Spectrum
builds itself on character and teamwork, and we hope that with your help and
expertise we will continue to achieve our goals.

Please look over the policies and procedures located in this handbook. To make an
amendment to this handbook please contact someone from the Administration and
Human Resources department. This handbook’s purpose is to set guidelines for all
Spectrum employees to follow, but also to share the benefits Spectrum has to offer.

For any questions please don’t hesitate to contact the Administration and Human
Resources department.

Mission Statement

Spectrum’s missionion is to provide optimal accessibility to a varying line of


fitness needs and equipment nation-wide to generate the healthiest lifestyle
attainable.

Job Descriptions

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)


The Chief Executive Officer is tasked with overseeing the company's many
departments. The CEO is the leader of the firm and is responsible for coordinating,
making schedules, checking business plans, assisting employees, answering
questions, and resolving conflicts.

Chief Project Manager (CPM)


The Chief Projects Manager is tasked with assisting the CEO as well as chiefs from
other departments. The CPM is responsible for aiding assistance where it is needed
such as coordinating with other chiefs, coordinating special events, and
competitions.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)


The Chief Financial Officer is tasked with overseeing the company’s finance and
accounting department. The CFO works closely with other chiefs and is
responsible for monitoring the company's financial performance. Some of the tasks
include calculating payroll, creating financial statements, and monitoring company
bank accounts.

Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)


The Chief Marketing Officer is tasked with overseeing the company’s marketing
department. The CMO works closely with other chiefs and is responsible for
monitoring the day to day work flow of the marketing department. Some of the
tasks may include creating company goals, overseeing social media, creating
marketing plans, and advertising for trade shows.

Chief Design Officer (CDO)
The Chief Design Officer is tasked with overseeing the company’s design
department. The CDO works very closely with other chiefs and is responsible for
monitoring the day to day work flow of the design department. Some of the tasks
may include creating company logo, website, and designing business plan template

Chief Administration Officer (CAO)


The Chief Administration Officer is tasked with overseeing the company’s
administration and human resources department. The CAO works closely with
other chiefs and is responsible for monitoring day to day tasks of the department.
Some tasks may include resolving conflicts, developing employee motivation, and
providing employee reminders.

Accounting & Finance


The members of the accounting and finance department report directly to the CFO.
The department works within a group of 3-5 employees and is tasked with duties
that include but not limited to, creating payroll, financial charts, measuring
inventory, creating yearly budgets, etc.

Marketing
The members of the marketing department report directly to the CMO. The
department works within a group of 3-5 employees and is responsible for designing
business plan, designing template for business plan, developing promotional
materials, etc

Design
The members of the design department report directly to the CDO. The department
works within a group of 3-5 employees and is responsible for designing the
company’s logo/slogan, maintaining the website, creating product catalog, etc.

Administration & Human Resources


The members of the administration and human resources department report directly
to the CAO. The department works within a group of 3-5 employees and is tasked
with duties such as; setting company goals and objectives, resolving office disputes
and conflicts, developing guidelines and procedures, etc.

Workplace Policies & Procedures

This section of the employee handbook describes policies that are designated
for all Spectrum employees. The policies are set in place in hopes to build a
pleasant, peaceful, and productive work environment.

Dress Code

Casual/Business casual avoid wearing anything that may be deemed inappropriate


or offensive. No revealing clothes, no headwear, no clothing promoting danger or
violence, no inappropriate words on clothing. Spectrum respects any clothing or
accessories that may be worn for religious, ethnic, or cultural purposes.

Technology

We permit and encourage the use of cell phones and other pieces of technology
here at Spectrum. We want to ensure that technology is not a distraction or cause
for disruption in the workplace, and it should only be use with the following:

- Use devices in ways that benefit your work


- Be respectful and polite
- Do not haze, tease, or bully
- Keep mics muted when not being spoken too

Friendships at Work

We encourage relationships between peers at work, friendships often help with


communication and collaboration. But, we expect that employees at Spectrum
focus on their work and keep conflicts and gossip out of the work environment.

Harassment and Violence

In order to ensure a pleasant, safe, and happy workplace for all employees it’s
important that everyone is treated with respect. Each Spectrum employee should do
their part to ensure a comfortable workplace. If you see something suspicious, say
something.

Workplace Harassment

Workplace harassment is such a broad term so below are examples and instances
that are considered harassment.

- Sabotaging another’s work


- Spreading rumors or falsehoods
- Ridiculing another in front of others
- Hazing, teasing, or bullying of others’ personality

Workplace Violence

Workplace violence is such a broad term so below are examples and instances that
are considered violence.

- Destruction of property
- Sexual Assault
- Threats of harm to people or place
- Physical or verbal abuse

Note: Please do not hesitate to reach out to the company supervisor if harassment
or violence is seen. Remember, if you see something, say something.

Emergency Management

Please familiarize yourself with the emergency procedures and be aware where the
nearest exits are located. Emergency management is set in place for situations such
as, tornados, lockdowns, and fires. For information or questions regarding
emergency management reach out to the company supervisor.

Alcohol and Drugs

Spectrum is a drug and alcohol free workplace. The use or distribution of drugs in
the workplace will result in disciplinary action.

Working Hours

All Spectrum employees are expected to be in the workplace during their


designated times. Tardiness should not become a habit.

Illness

Spectrum employees are asked to stay home if not feeling well. The safety and
health of all employees is our number one priority. Spectrum employees are
expected to make up the work they might have missed and are responsible for
communicating with their departments.

Conclusion

Spectrum will always strive for equal opportunities and fairness, but
