• Install the HP 3PAR Management Console (MC) and manage an array
• Install and manage an HP 3PAR array using StoreServ Management Console (SSMC)

Array administration can be done using the new, modern StoreServ Management Console (SSMC),
Management Console (MC) GUI or a very robust Command Line Interface (CLI)

Log in and connect to Management Console

• Initial login to array requires IP/hostname


• Username/password based authentication
• Secure connection (TCP port = 5783) **default
Unsecured connection (TCP port = 5782)
• Available permissions allocated by domain (if configured)
• Administrators can connect to multiple
HP 3PAR arrays according to permissions and privileges
• Default login: 3paradm/3pardata
