Activity description
The child needs to listen to a ~7-minute video book on ‘The Day The Crayons Quit”. The video is available
here.

The video shows a funny, imaginary story of crayons writing letters to the kid who owns the crayons and
complaining about what they like or not like regarding how the kid uses them.

The child is expected to listen to the full story. After the child has watched the video a few times, record
a video of the child narrating the full story by himself/herself. The story narration should cover all the
key elements of the story & have a proper starting & end. The child should summarize the story in 60
seconds. You need to submit only the part where the child is narrating the story and not where the child
is watching the video.

The child must submit a single, non-edited video for the activity. Once ready, record and submit a video
of the child.

Assessment guidelines
The total non-bonus points for this activity are 30. Every submission would be rated as either of below.

M = Master The child can share 55 to 60 sec summary of the story without prompt/clues
(100%) starting & ending the story correctly while covering key story elements

The child can share 40 to 45 sec summary without prompt/clues starting the story I = Intermediate
correctly while leaving the story incomplete or without covering key elements (80%)

B = Beginner The child can share 25 to 30 sec summary without prompt/clues starting the story
(50%) correctly while leaving the story incomplete or without covering key elements

For participating in the event & making an event relevant submission which does A = Aspirant
not meet assessment guidelines for M, I or B. (25%)

NA (Not applicable) No submissions or any submission which is irrelevant for the activity.

50% bonus marks: If the child securing an M can share a 90 second summary
of the story (without prolonged pauses & covering additional elements of the story)
