ASSIGNMENT QUESTION
OBJECTIVE
This assignment is to evaluate learners’ decision making in the management of patients with
multitrauma in emergency department.
SYNOPSIS:
Multiple injuries involved many systems of the body that requires careful and timely
prioritisation and intervention in the emergency department. The goal of initial emergency
care is towards rapid recognition and prompt treatment. Emergency nurses must equipped
themselves with clinical knowledge and practical skills necessary to initially assess and care
for the multitrauma patients especially during the golden hour of injury.
TASK:
Discuss the systematic approach for optimal management of multitrauma patients by
focusing on key patient priorities that is crucial to patient survival. Describe the relevant
clinical knowledge and skills for emergency nurse to enable them to assess and care for
the patients.

Tugasan ini adalah untuk menilai pelajar dalam membuat keputusan berkaitan pengurusan
pesakit multitrauma di Jabatan Kecemasan.
SINOPSIS:
Pelbagai kecederaan melibatkan banyak sistem badan yang memerlukan keutamaan dan
intervensi yang teliti dan tepat di Jabatan Kecemasan. Matlamat jagaan awal kecemasan
adalah pengesanan dan rawatan segera. Jururawat Kecemasan perlu mempunyai
pengetahuan klinikal dan kemahiran praktikal untuk penilaian awal serta menjaga pesakit
multitrauma terutama semasa golden hour kecederaan.
