Ground Investigation –Humber CCS Pipeline – River Hull and Driffield Canal – 762402 RVX6 National Grid Carbon Limited
1 INTRODUCTION
It is proposed to construct a pipeline from Stainforth (SE 661 119) in South Yorkshire, north east
to Barmston (TA 169 612) in the East Riding of Yorkshire, on the east coast south of
Bridlington, as part of a carbon capture and storage scheme.
Structural Soils Limited were instructed by National Grid Carbon Ltd (the Client) to carry out a
ground investigation along the proposed pipeline route. The results of the investigation are
presented in separate reports for each of the major crossing points i.e. rivers/canals, railways and
motorways and also as a summary report for the whole route. This report details a section of the
route where the pipeline crosses the River Hull and Driffield Canal.
This report details the work carried out during two phases of investigation, Tranche 1 and
Tranche 2 works. The Tranche 1 and Tranche 2 work was carried out in 2012 and 2013
respectively. The report details the work both on site and in the laboratory and gives
recommendations relating to the excavations for the installation of the pipeline, the bearing
capacity, and a selection of other soil parameters. A draft report was issued following
completion of the Tranche 1 work, that report is superseded by this report.
The ground investigation has been carried out using cable percussion techniques of soft ground
boring and rotary drilling techniques, in general accordance with the recommendations of
BS5930: 1999 Code of Practice for Site Investigations: Including amendment 2 (2010). Whilst
every attempt is made to record full details of the strata encountered in the exploratory holes,
techniques of hole formation and sampling will inevitably lead to disturbance, mixing or loss of
material in some soils and rocks.
A comprehensive desk study, other than an inspection of geological maps, has not been
requested or undertaken as part of this investigation. Nor has a preliminary risk assessment been
completed.

The chemical testing of samples of soil for contamination has not formed part of this
investigation. Similarly no testing has been undertaken to detect the presence of gas in the
ground. Groundwater samples however have been tested as part of this work.
All information, comments and opinions given in this report are based on the ground conditions
encountered during the site work, and on the results of laboratory and field tests performed
during the investigation. However, there may be conditions at the site that have not been taken
into account, such as unpredictable soil strata, contaminant concentrations, and water conditions
between or below exploratory holes. It should be noted that groundwater levels usually vary due
to seasonal and/or other effects and may at times differ to those measured during the
investigation.
This report was prepared by Structural Soils Ltd for the sole and exclusive use of National Grid
Carbon Limited in response to particular instructions. Any other parties using the information
contained in this report do so at their own risk and any duty of care to those parties is excluded.

2 SITE DESCRIPTION
The site lies within Holderness, approximately 4.5km south east of Driffield. The British
National Grid reference of the site is TA 065 558.
The site is where the proposed route crosses the River Hull and Driffield Canal. The river and
canal run parallel at this point in a south easterly direction and are approximately 70m apart.
The canal lies east of the river. The B1249 runs parallel with and immediately adjacent to the
eastern edge of the canal. To the west of and parallel with the river is a drainage ditch, “Main
Drain”.
The river follows a meandering course bounded by the straighter lines of the Main Drain to the
west and the canal to the east.
The surrounding land is generally flat and level and used for agricultural purposes; immediately
adjacent to and between the river and canal is grazing land to the west of Main Drain it is arable.
There are some trees and shrubs associated with the river and canal banks.
Immediately north of the pipeline route, in the land between the river and canal, is a pond.
Whilst historical maps have not been studied in detail for the site a brief inspection shows an
“old gravel pit” immediately west of the river. This is shown between 1891 and 1956 the later
1976 map does not show it suggesting that it has been in filled some time in the intervening 20
years.
2.2 Geology
The published geological records for the area show the site to be underlain by superficial
deposits of the Quaternary Period comprising glacial till (diamicton) to the east of the B1249,
Alluvium, associated with the River Hull and beneath the canal, and sand and gravel of uncertain
age to the west of the Main Drain.
The BGS lexicon defines diamicton as “clay and silty clay, commonly pebbly and sandy, stiff,
possibly interbedded with sand and gravel-rich lenses and rare peat. An unsorted, unstratified
deposit of uncertain age; colour variable, generally reflecting nature of source rock material”.
Alluvium is defined as “clay, silt, sand and gravel”.

Rev 22 7
Ground Investigation –Humber CCS Pipeline – River Hull and Driffield Canal – 762402 RVX6 National Grid Carbon Limited
The superficial deposits are underlain at an unspecified depth by rocks of the Flamborough
Chalk Formation. These are described in the BGS lexicon to comprise “white, well-bedded,
flint-free chalk with common marl seams (typically about one per metre). Common stylolitic
surfaces and pyrite nodules”.
The published geological records consulted were the British Geological Survey (BGS) map
England and Wales Series Sheet 64 Great Driffield, Solid and Drift Edition, scale 1:50,000,
published 1993; the BGS Onshore GeoIndex (http://www.bgs.ac.uk/geoindex/); and the BGS
lexicon.

3 FIELDWORK
The Tranche 1 (T1) ground investigation comprised fourteen cable percussion boreholes (BH228
to BH243), completed between 7 September and 4 October 2012. At that time boreholes
scheduled between the river and the canal were not drilled due to access restrictions. The
Tranche 2 (T2) work carried out between 10 June and 15 July 2012 comprised nine cable
percussion boreholes (BH234A to BH239D) two of which were extended by rotary coring
(BH236 and BH239D); these boreholes were drilled between the river and canal and also east of
the main road to target/monitor the artesian groundwater encountered during the Tranche 1 work.
The borehole locations for both phases of work are shown on the Exploratory Hole Location
Plan in Appendix A.
The scope of the investigation and the borehole positions were selected by the Client. The
boreholes were set out by Structural Soils Limited, and adjusted where necessary to take account
of buried or overhead services, or other restrictions. The choice of investigation equipment,
sampling and in-situ testing details were agreed between Structural Soils and the Client.
The exploratory holes were logged by an engineer in general accordance with the
recommendations of BS5930: 1999 (2010 Amendment 2, which incorporates the requirements of
BS EN ISO 14688-1, 14688-2 and 14689-1). Detailed descriptions, together with relevant
comments, are given in the logs included in Appendix B.
Prior to the commencement of any exploratory hole or intrusive test a scan was carried out using
a cable avoidance tool (CAT) and signal generator (‘genny’). An inspection pit was then
excavated using hand tools to a depth of 1.20m.
The boreholes were drilled using a cable tool percussion drilling rig and were 200mm and/or
150mm diameter. The depths of the boreholes were between 1.20m and 18.00m and they
encountered clays, silts, sands, gravel and weathered bedrock.
Boreholes BH228 to BH234 (T1) were drilled west of the Main Drain, borehole BH234A (T2)
was drilled between the Main Drain and the River Hull, boreholes BH235 to BH237 (T2) were
drilled between the River Hull and the Driffield Canal and boreholes BH239 to BH239D (T2)
and BH241 to BH243 (T1) were drilled east of the canal and the B1249.

Undisturbed samples (100mm diameter) were recovered from the cohesive strata in the
boreholes. Small disturbed and bulk soil samples were taken from the boreholes at regular
intervals. Water samples were taken at each water strike.
Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) were carried out at regular intervals, in accordance with BS EN
ISO 22476-3. The recorded SPT N-values are summarised on the borehole logs. The SPT
hammers used were calibrated for efficiency; a calibration certificate for each hammer used is
included in Appendix C. The SPT results are presented in Appendix C in tabular format on the
Summary of Standard Penetration Tests, on which the normalised N60 values are also reported
(equivalent N-value for a hammer delivering 60% of the theoretical drop energy). The serial
numbers of the hammers used for each test are stated on the borehole logs and the summary
table. Plots showing both N and N60 values versus depth are also included, currently these plots
are separated for the T1 and T2 works.
Boreholes BH236 and BH239D were extended by rotary coring techniques to depths of 39.00m
and 35.50m respectively.
Rotary coring was carried out using a double tube SWF core barrel to recovery 113mm diameter
cores. A clear perspex liner was inserted in the inner barrel to maximise the quality of core
recovery. Water flush was used.
Cores were placed in wooden core boxes prior to transportation to Structural Soils Castleford
office where they were photographed prior to logging.
Photographs of the cores are contained in Appendix B, where they are appended to the relevant
borehole log.
A flow test was carried out in BH234A at a depth of 14.30m. The flow rate of the artesian water
issuing from the top of the borehole was monitored for a period of 30minutes, following that the
water level was allowed to rise to a stable standing level. The results are included on the
borehole record in Appendix B.

Vibrating wire piezometers were installed in boreholes BH234A, BH235 and BH239A (T2) on
completion of drilling. Installation details are shown on the relevant borehole log.
On completion the remaining boreholes were backfilled with bentonite and/or cement grout due
to the presence of artesian ground water. Casing up to 300mm diameter was used in some
boreholes to control the artesian flow whilst grouting was carried out
On completion of the works, a survey of the exploratory hole locations was undertaken by a
specialist surveyor using Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment. The coordinates and
elevation of each exploratory hole were measured relative to British National Grid and Ordnance
Datum respectively, and these are shown on the exploratory hole logs contained in Appendix B
which have been printed with a reduced level column.

4 LABORATORY TESTING
Samples for potential geotechnical testing were returned to the company’s UKAS accredited
laboratory in Castleford. Geotechnical tests were scheduled by Structural Soils Limited and
Wardell Armstrong LLP. Samples of groundwater and surface water were sent to Envirolab
Limited an UKAS accredited chemical testing laboratory, the testing suite for water quality was
specified by the Environment Agency.
Geotechnical laboratory testing for soils was generally carried out in accordance with BS1377:
1990, Methods of Test for Soils for Civil Engineering Purposes, Parts 1 to 8, unless indicated
otherwise. Testing on rock was carried out in accordance with the ISRM Suggested Methods.
Where non-standard procedures have been undertaken, this is recorded on the report sheet. The
results are reported in tabular and/or graphical form and included as Appendix B of this report,
behind the relevant borehole logs.

5 GROUND CONDITIONS
5.1 General
A complete record of all the strata encountered is given on the boreholes logs contained in
Appendix B. In general these confirm the anticipated ground conditions based on the geological
records. Granular soils, sand and gravel were encountered at shallow depth west of the canal,
where “sand and gravel of uncertain age was indicated” overlying glacial till and chalk. A
similar sequence was encountered east of the river and immediately on the eastern side of the
B1283, where alluvium and glacial till respectively was anticipated at the surface.
Between the main river and canal no discernable layer of alluvium was noted other than a thin
veneer of clay between 0.65m and 0.80m thick overlying sand and gravel.
East of the road, gravel was encountered in the initial boreholes at shallow depth; the gravel dies
out in the boreholes towards the east where glacial till was encountered beneath the topsoil. At
depth the glacial till becomes granular and grades in to the weathered chalk.
All of the boreholes initially encountered topsoil, which varied in thickness from 0.20m to
0.60m. The driller records brick rubble to a depth of 0.40m underlying the topsoil in borehole
BH239D. This is probably material placed for drainage.
The shallow gravel was encountered in boreholes BH228 to BH234A, west of the river, with
some thin beds of clay, to depths of between 1.20m and 4.80m; in boreholes BH235 to BH237,
between the river and canal, to depths of between 2.60m and 3.70m; and in boreholes BH239 to
BH241A, east of the canal, to depths of between 2.30m and 4.00m. In boreholes BH230, BH231
and BH231A this horizon appears to comprise a very gravelly clay to clayey gravel with some
sand bands.
The glacial till generally comprises an upper horizon of firm or stiff gravelly clay overlying
interbedded sand and gravel with some discontinuous clay bands. The clay bands become more
significant to the east of the canal.
Gravelly clay was encountered underlying the upper sand and gravel and proved to a depth of
between 6.90m and 8.30m in the boreholes west of the river. In the boreholes east of the river
762402 River Hull and Driffied Canal Crossing Report Structural Soils Limited
Rev 22 14
Ground Investigation –Humber CCS Pipeline – River Hull and Driffield Canal – 762402 RVX6 National Grid Carbon Limited
gravelly clay was also proved underlying the upper sand and gravel with the exception of
boreholes BH 242, BH242A and BH243 where it underlies the topsoil directly. It was proved to
depths of between 7.50m and 10.20m east of the river. Thin beds of sand occur in places within
this upper cohesive till, up to a proven thickness of 0.80m (BH231).
The underlying material is predominately sand or gravel west of the river with some
discontinous clay bands. East of the river clay bands become more persistent and there is less
granular material east of the canal. The clays vary from gravelly clay similar to the over lying
material to thin bands of laminated clay. Given the artesian groundwater at these depths silty
sand and gravel was hydraulically forced up the borehole (blowing conditions) making it
difficult to define boundaries in some circumstances.
As detailed in Section 5.4 the boundary with the underlying weathered chalk is not always
distinct, due in part to reworked chalk being included in the deeper superficial deposits and the
problems of “blowing conditions” and the presence of artesian water. Weathered chalk was
encountered at a depth of between 11.00m and 12.80m beneath the western area 11.60 and
13.10m in the central area and 12.00m and 14.00m beneath the eastern area. The chalk was
proved to completion depth in fourteen of the boreholes, boreholes BH231, BH232, BH233,
BH234 and BH234A west of the river, boreholes BH235, BH236 and BH237 between the river
and canal and boreholes BH239, BH239D, BH241, BH241A, BH242A and BH243 east of the
canal. The remaining boreholes terminated within the overlying superficial deposits or did not
prove sufficient thickness of chalk to confirm that the chalk had been encountered. In borehole
BH232 gravelly silt was encountered which may represent the upper weathered chalk or a basal
horizon of the superficial deposits.
Boreholes BH236 and BH239D were drilled in to the chalk to depths of 39.00m and 35.50m
respectively using rotary drilling techniques. The purpose was to obtain cores for geological
classification and rock strength determination.
5.6 Groundwater
762402 River Hull and Driffied Canal Crossing Report Structural Soils Limited
Rev 22 15
Ground Investigation –Humber CCS Pipeline – River Hull and Driffield Canal – 762402 RVX6 National Grid Carbon Limited
Groundwater was encountered in all boreholes, although in boreholes BH229, BH232A and
BH239C it was recorded as a seepage only. Groundwater was encountered in general in the
granular horizons and the underlying chalk. In most boreholes artesian or sub artesian conditions
were encountered, with water rising to a maximum recorded level of 2.65m above ground level
(BH234). To monitor artesian water casing was added above ground level and the water levels
allowed to reach equilibrium.
A summary of the ground water strikes and subsequent recorded standing levels are given in the
following table. The highest recorded standing level includes some levels recorded overnight.
Given the presence of artesian conditions no monitoring wells were installed as part of the T2
works on the clients instructions. Three vibrating wire piezometers were installed in boreholes
BH234A, BH235 and BH239A as part of the T2 works.
762402 River Hull and Driffied Canal Crossing Report Structural Soils Limited
Rev 22 16
Ground Investigation –Humber CCS Pipeline – River Hull and Driffield Canal – 762402 RVX6 National Grid Carbon Limited
From the above table it is evident that the artesian water lies at depth within the chalk and the
shallower water strikes are sub artesian, presumably influenced by the deeper higher water
pressure. Significant inflow was recorded for water strikes within thin bands of sand in the
glacial till.
Monitoring results to date for the vibrating wire piezometers are tabulated below.
Groundwater samples taken from boreholes BH231A, BH232, BH234, BH234A, BH241A,
BH242A, BH233 and BH239 were submitted to Envirolab Limited for a suite of chemical testing
specified by the Environmental Agency to assess groundwater quality. Water samples taken
from the ditch adjacent to the B1249 were also tested for the same suite. The results are included
in Appendix D but no further discussion or assessment is carried out on these results as it is
considered outside the scope of this current report.

Ground Investigation –Humber CCS Pipeline – River Hull and Driffield Canal – 762402 RVX6 National Grid Carbon Limited
SPT N values within the shallow sand and gravel are generally in the range 10 to 19 indicating
medium dense conditions; one test, borehole BH239A at 1.50m, returned an N value of 9.
Triaxial tests carried out on the cohesive horizon of the glacial till returned undrained shear
strength values generally in the range 45kPa to 119kPa for the T1 boreholes and 44kPa to
187kPa for the T2 boreholes, indicating the clay to be of medium to very high strength. One
sample returned a result of 35kPa (BH233 3.10m) this sample failed at a lower strain than the
other samples suggesting possible premature failure on a pre determined fissure. SPTs carried
out within the cohesive glacial till horizon returned N values of between 11 and 29. These are
indicative of an undrained shear strength of between 55kPa and 145kPa using the correlation
proposed by Stroud.
SPTs carried out in the lower granular horizon returned N values between 9 and 33 generally
indicating medium dense conditions. The lower values may be affected by blowing conditions.
SPT N values for tests carried out in the lower clay horizon returned results of between 14 to 40.
SPT N values for the chalk are generally in the range 30 to 43, although in borehole BH234A an
extrapolated N value of 128 was recorded.
The test results for the Atterberg limits indicate clay of low plasticity with the exception of the
sample from borehole BH243 at 0.30m. This sample returned results indicating intermediate
plasticity.
The PSD test results generally indicate the gravel within the sand and gravel and gravel horizons
to be fine to medium with various percentages of sand, silt and clay. The sand horizons are
shown to be mainly fine and medium sand again with various percentages of silt and clay.
Unconfined compressive strength tests carried out on the core samples show strengths between
5.8MPa and 9.9MPa indicating weak rock. The tested samples were however shorter than
required which may affect the results.
Point load testing was carried out on samples of chalk taken from the core, thirty seven tests
were carried out comprising fourteen axial tests, fifteen diametrial tests and eight irregular tests.
The tests returned values of the point load index, Is(50), between 0.02MPa and 0.54MPa for the
axial tests, 0.03MPa and 0.56MPa for the diametrial tests and 0.02MPa and 0.44Mpa for the
762402 River Hull and Driffied Canal Crossing Report Structural Soils Limited
Rev 22 18
Ground Investigation –Humber CCS Pipeline – River Hull and Driffield Canal – 762402 RVX6 National Grid Carbon Limited
irregular tests. The ratio of diametrial to axial results indicates the chalk to be quasi-isotropic i.e.
similar strength in both directions.
An equivalent unconfined compressive strength (UCS) value is given on the point load summary
sheets. This is based on the assumption that UCS = Is(50) x k, where k is assumed to be 20. The
value of k can however vary based on rock type and strength, the UCS value is therefore given as
a guide only. These results generally indicate the chalk to be very weak or weak.
The saturated moisture content and intact dry density were determined for six samples of chalk.
The moisture content for five of the samples varied from 19 to 21% and the intact dry density
from 1.72 to 1.77 Mg/m3. These results are consistent with high density chalk as per the
classification scheme detailed in CIRIA report 574 2002 “Engineering in Chalk”. The sixth
sample from BH236 at 22.50m returned a moisture content of 23% and 1.67 Mg/m3, which
places it just in to medium density chalk. The UCS values measured and derived from the point
load test results are also consistent with a general classification of high density chalk. Further
classification in accordance with this scheme is not possible as it is based on discontinuity
spacing, aperture size and infill which are difficult to assess from core samples. Also the
samples tested are of intact chalk, the shallower chalk encountered in the boreholes has not been
tested due to the non intact nature.

Ground Investigation –Humber CCS Pipeline – River Hull and Driffield Canal – 762402 RVX6 National Grid Carbon Limited
The proposed development will, it is understood, comprise the design and construction of a
pipeline and associated temporary works as part of a carbon capture and storage scheme. No
details of method of construction are known at this time, however, it is understood that the
minimum cover depths at the various crossings will be as follows:
The results of the investigation carried out to date have been assessed on a borehole by borehole
basis and are reported on the Interpretation Summary Sheets presented along with the borehole
logs in Appendix B. These sheets give an assessment of excavation, stability, bearing capacity
and drainage characteristics.
The shallow granular soils and glacial till encountered have been assessed as being of easy
excavatability and should be readily excavated with conventional excavation plant.
The stability of excavations will vary depending on the soil type. Ground water was encountered
associated with the shallow granular soils and the granular beds in the till, the levels encountered
suggest sub artesian conditions which will potentially have an adverse affect on excavation
stability. Artesian water was encountered at depth within the chalk, any deep excavations may
encounter these conditions. Recommendations relating to the initial stability of excavations and
the angle of temporary safe slopes are given in the interpretation summary sheets. The
recommendations are based upon the general soil classifications given in the CIRIA Report 97,
Trenching Practice.
All excavations should be planned and due consideration should be given to providing temporary
support or suitable battering. Excavations should be regularly inspected by a competent person

Rev 22 20
Ground Investigation –Humber CCS Pipeline – River Hull and Driffield Canal – 762402 RVX6 National Grid Carbon Limited
to ensure continued safety. Further advice on the safety of excavations is given in Health and
Safety in Construction.
As with trenching, the ease and efficiency with which these operations can be carried out
depends largely on the type of soils and rock encountered and the prevailing water table.
The artesian groundwater at depth appears to influence the shallower groundwater resulting in
sub artesian conditions; depending on the depth of the pipe these conditions will have a
significant effect on the construction methods.
Given the minimum depth of cover beneath a river / canal crossing of 2.00m and allowing for the
depth of the channel any shallow tunnelling/pipe jacking should lie within the glacial till. High
groundwater inflow and loss of material from the production face can be expected if granular
horizons within the till are encountered as proved by a number of the boreholes.
The shallow ground water and presence of granular materials is likely to affect the potential
stability of deep excavations for tunnelling/pipejacking with the potential for heavy groundwater
inflow at the base of excavations. The potential of heave at the base of deep excavations should
be considered due to the underlying artesian conditions.
Groundwater control will be required prior to forming the pipe jack or tunnel, care should be
taken that the method used does not adversely affect the ground surface in the vicinity of the
river, canal or road by inducing settlement.
A paper entitled Guide to the Best Practice for the installation of Pipe Jacks and Microtunnels
published by the Pipe Jacking Association gives guidance on the suitability and selection of
methods to be employed. It also gives advice on design, contractual considerations and health
and safety matters. It is recommended that the advice of experienced contractors, particularly
those with groundwater control experience, be sought on the suitability of the methods for the
conditions. Any principals of dewatering should follow the guidelines given in CIRIA C515 and
guidance below.
The interpretative summary sheet indicates the likely drainage characteristics of the soil
encountered. These characteristics are based upon the general soil classifications. No trial pits or
soakage tests were carried out which would determine the drainage characteristics in the field.
762402 River Hull and Driffied Canal Crossing Report Structural Soils Limited
Rev 22 21
Ground Investigation –Humber CCS Pipeline – River Hull and Driffield Canal – 762402 RVX6 National Grid Carbon Limited
Granular soils would be expected to generally have good draining characteristics. However, in
many cases the grading, density and silt or clay content will render granular soils practically
impermeable.
It is recommended that the facility for positive drainage be provided within the pipe trenches. It
should be borne in mind that with the proposed size of pipe and trench there is a strong
possibility of surface water flooding excavations in areas where they act as a natural collecting
point, and unsecured pipes being at risk of floatation.
Advice on dealing with groundwater is given in CIRIA Report C515, Groundwater Control –
Design and Practice.
The interpretive summary sheets indicate the likely bearing capacity of soils encountered. These
characteristics are based upon the interpretation of Standard Penetration Test (SPT) results and
undrained shear strength determined in the triaxial tests.
All of the soils encountered should readily support the pipeline itself. No significant made
ground was encountered during the investigation. However, should made ground or peat be
encountered during construction below the pipeline formation, it is recommended it is removed
and replaced with suitable compacted material.
The Atterberg Limits tests performed on samples have been used to assess plasticity, which is
recorded on the summary sheets. After correction where necessary for their >0.425mm fraction,
the shallow soil samples show predominantly low volume change potentials with changes in
moisture content, according to the criteria of NHBC Standards, Chapter 4.2 Building Near Trees.

Notes - General
Subscript "A" indicates analysis performed on the sample as received, "D" indicates analysis performed on the dried sample.
All analysis is performed on the dried and crushed sample for samples with Matrix Code 7 and this supercedes any "A" subscripts. Superscript "M" indicates
method accredited to MCERTS.
For complex, multi-compound analysis, quality control results do not always fall within chart limits for every compound and we have criteria for reporting in
these situations. If results are in italic font they are associated with such quality control failures and may be unreliable.
A deviating samples report is appended and will indicate if samples or tests have been found to be deviating. Any test results affected may not be an
accurate record of the concentration at the time of sampling.
Predominant Matrix Codes - 1 = SAND, 2 = LOAM, 3 = CLAY, 4 = LOAM/SAND, 5 = SAND/CLAY, 6 = CLAY/LOAM, 7 = OTHER.
Samples with Matrix Code 7 are not predominantly a SAND/LOAM/CLAY mix and are not covered by our MCERTS accreditation.
Secondary Matrix Codes - A = contains stones, B = contains construction rubble, C = contains visible hydrocarbons, D = contains glass/metal, E = contains
roots/twigs.
IS indicates Insufficient sample for analysis. NDP indicates No Determination Possible. NAD indicates No Asbestos Detected. Superscript # indicates method
accredited to ISO 17025. Analytical results reflect the quality of the sample at the time of analysis only.
Opinions and interpretations expressed are outside the scope of our accreditation.
