2020 NAUTILUS EXPEDITION PATCH DESIGN CONTEST

OFFICIAL ENTRY FORM

Your artwork could go on an ocean adventure aboard Exploration Vessel (E/V) ​Nautilus​!

Dr. Robert Ballard and members of the Corps of Exploration will choose one drawing to be made into
the official patch of the 2020 E/V ​Nautilus​ Expedition as the Corps of Exploration explore the world’s
oceans and make exciting discoveries.

Deadline Extended! Submit your art before April 1, 2020!

This contest is open to artists who are 5-18 years old as of 10/1/2019​. ​To enter a design:
● Print the attached Patch Design Circle and use it for your patch template.
○ Be sure to include “E/V Nautilus”, “2020”, and “Eastern Pacific Ocean” in your design.
○ Your drawing should fall under one or more of our 2020 themes:
- Science: geology, marine biology, or chemistry
- Technology: the ship ​Nautilus,​ ROVs ​Hercules​ & ​Argus,​ or multibeam mapping sonar
- Exploration: 95% of the ocean remains unexplored. In 2020, the Corps of Exploration
will explore the Eastern Pacific Ocean along the coast of North America from Canada
to Southern California.
