Rationale –
When I had first started on my course at Henley College, I didn’t know how to
do anything in the media production but since that point I’ve learnt so much.
I’ve learnt how to use a camera, how to edit productions and how to come up
with ideas. Each of those 3 parts stem off into tons and tons of different routes
like practicing different camera angles and techniques to make productions
look more interesting and fun for the audience as well as changing colour
schemes in post-production using premiere pro and using starting points such
as storyboards and scripts. In the time that I’ve been here, I’ve made short
films and music videos as well as radio dramas, animations and documentaries.

Project Concept –
For this project I wanted to think about what people would relate to these
days, something simple that people could understand but made in a bigger
way. I’m on my way to finding a strong narrative story but I am currently in
only basic descriptions at the moment. I have chosen one thing and that is that
I have chosen to do a short film. I have thought about a few ideas that would
be great to show in a production but it would all depend on the current
situation of the covid-19, if I’m unable to film outside and get actors then I
have an idea in which I only really need to use my house and on the other hand
if we can go outside and film with actors then I have a few ideas that could
really go well. Either way filming at my house would be rather easy and safer.

Evaluation –
At the end of every week, I will be filming a vlog of my progress throughout the
week and talk about all the parts that I have done as well as what I want to do
and what I have missed. As well as that I’m also taking screengrabs of the
emails where I ask my teacher’s questions about what I could improve and
what my ideas are. Every Tuesday and Thursday I will be in a group call with
some fellow students in my class as well as my teacher so we can discuss our
ideas and we can use each other to get positive feedback as well as what we
can improve on.
