Action

• Park the machine on a level surface.

• Steer the wheels to the center position.
• Slide the axles till 5 cm from the max. track width.
• Dismount the front left- and right-side black protection plate, underneath the fenders.
• Drain the oil from the hydraulic tank with help of a hose via the drain plug.
NOTE: Collect the oil in a clean canister, so it can be used again.
NOTE: Do this one day before the repair date, so the oil can drain out overnight.
• Dismount the clamp from the suction hose at the tank side.

Clamp from suction hose

• Dismount the complete suction hose.

• Dismount the two hydraulic hoses on the right side of the machine, see picture below.
NOTE: Some hydraulic oil will leak, take measures to collect the leakage oil.
• Dismount the hydraulic axle movement cylinder. OR Dismount the spacers between the
left and right cornermodules, for machines with fixed track widths. See picture below.

• Move the electrical harness away from the left side of the chassis, see picture below.

Harness that is moved away from chassis

• Protect all the hoses and electrical harnesses with help of fireproof material, to prevent
that sparks will damage the cables and hoses.
• Protect the machine against peak voltage caused by welding.
• Mount the earth clamp as close as possible to the welding location.
• Cut off 24 mm on the left and right side of the chassis from the given location in the picture
below and note 1.

Notes:
1. Cut off approximately 24 mm on the given location on the left and right side of the
chassis.
2. Plate needs to be welded completely.
3. Plate needs to be centered over the tube.

• Grind and weld the cracks in the chassis if they already appear.
• Weld the plate completely around the surface.
• Paint the plate and chassis after welding.
• Mount the cylinder, hoses and plates.
NOTE: Take care that the tube inside the chassis is very well cleaned before mounting the
suction hose, otherwise dust will come into the suction hose.
• Fill the hydraulic tank with oil.
• Bleed all the hydraulic pumps.
