2 Additional Testing Requirements:
3 1.Minimum nominal thickness shall be 3/8 inch for carbon steel pressure vessels.
4 2.Weld-in internals shall have a minimum thickness of 1/8 in excluding corrosion allowance
5 3.Flanges greater than 24” shall comply with ASME B16.47 series B
6 4.Horizontal vessels shall have one (1) grounding lug installed on each saddle.
7 5.The minimum water temperature for hydro testing shall be at least 45°F (7°C) but not warmer than 120°F (50°C) and at least 30°f (17°C) warmer
8 than the minimum design metal temperature (MDMT). The minimum hold time shall be 30 minutes.
9 6.The contact angle between the saddle and vessel shall be a minimum of 120°. The minimum size of anchor bolts shall be ¾ in diameter. Bolt holes
10 shall be 1/8" larger in diameter than the bolts (1/4" larger in diameter for vessels if mounted on concrete).
11 7.Reinforcement pads, when required, shall have a minimum width of 2". Reinforcement pads on nozzles 10" diameter and smaller shall have
12 one (1) 1/4" NPT telltale hole; larger nozzle pads shall have two (2) 1/4" NPT telltale holes 180° apart.
13 8.Reinforcing pads and clips should be located a minimum of 2” from the edge of vessel’s longitudinal and circumferential seam welds. However when
14 unavoidable, seam weld shall be ground flush and 100% radiographed to a minimum of 6” beyond each side of attachment prior to covering joint
15 9.Vessel Shall be built per Cameron Specifications: CPS-03-7.3-008 Rev 00 (Pressure Vessel General Specification) and CPS-03-7.3-016 Rev 00
