LESSON Teacher Alexis Joanne Villaflores Learning Area Science
EXEMPLA Teaching Date January 4-8, 2020 Quarter Second
R Teaching Time 1:00-2:00 No. of Days 5 (BOW)

I. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
 Describe how an electromagnetic (EM) wave is
produced and propagated;
 Find out who the significant proponents are on the
formulation of electromagnetic theory; and
 Compare the relative frequencies and wavelengths
of each EM wave.
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrate the understanding of
 the different regions of the electromagnetic
spectrum
B. Performance Standards The learners should be able to:
1. Demonstrate ways to ensure disaster preparedness
during earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic
eruptions.
2. Suggest ways by which he/she can contribute to
government efforts in reducing damage due to
earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions.

C. Most Essential Learning Competencies  Compare the relative wavelengths of different

(MELC) forms of electromagnetic waves

II. CONTENT NATURE OF ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES

III. LEARNING RESOURCES

A. References
a. Teacher’s Guide Pages
b. Learner’s Material Pages Pivot 4A Learner’s Material, Module 2
c. Textbook Pages
d. Additional Materials from Learning Materials
B. List of Learning Resources for Development
and Engagement Activities

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Introduction  The teacher will present the objectives of the
lesson.

For this specific module, you are expected to master the

nature of electromagnetic waves. The scope of this
module permits it to be used in many different learning
situations. The language it uses recognizes the diverse
vocabulary level of students.

 The learners will read the I-phase of the module.

 The learners will answer Learning Task 1 on
page 1.

B. Development Through illustrative examples and representations, the

learner will be guided about the lines of evidence that
support plate movement.

 The learners will answer the Learning Tasks 2

on pages 2.
 Study the two pictures and make a map.
C. Engagement  The learner engaged himself/herself in the
different tasks by doing Learning activity;
Learning Task 3 on page 3-4.

D. Assimilation  The learner will answer the Learning Task 4 on

the A-Phase, page 5.
 The learner will answer an assessment attached in
the WHLP.

V. REFLECTION The learners, in their notebook, journal or portfolio will

write their personal insights about the lesson using the
prompts below.
