1. Introduction

2. The POS stands for point of sale which is a process where a transaction is made
when customers select some product and finalize it after checking out from the
main window. It is very useful for keeping the track record of inventory and the
number of sales made per day. There are many benefits of using this method
including better user experience, retention of customers, price customization of
every product, and keeping the track record of the previous purchase history of the
customers. This process refrains you from using old traditional methods of
carrying out sale process in which cash registers were used. I’ll try to cover each
and everything related to Dynamic POS, why it has become prerequisite for most
of the retailers, main benefits and the steps required to set up the Dynamic POS
system.

3. Objective

If you are looking to grow your business using a point of sale system, you will
first need to understand it completely. It is going to help you when it comes to
installing and using the system in your business. Once you know how to handle it,
the rest of the work will be a lot easier for both you and your employees.

4. Problem Description

Dynamics POS for Retail is an end-to-end solution, enabling full visibility across
the entire business. It offers customer engagement capabilities like store
operations, marketing, channel management, order management, and business
intelligence; including back-office capabilities, such as procurement and
financials, in an end-to-end solution delivering full visibility across the entire
business.

of Sale is an easy-to-use application that allows users to manage inventory, track
sales and customer information. Dynamics POS allows seamless integration of
information from accounting software.

businesses aiming for growth.
5. Methodology
 Dynamic Point of Service for .NET (POS for .NET) v1.14.1 is a class
library that enables POS developers to apply Microsoft .NET
technologies in their products. POS for .NET v1.14.1 provides the
following:

• A simple and consistent interface for.NET Framework


applications to interact with POS devices

• A set of interfaces and classes created to help vendors write


applications for common devices such as Cash Drawers or Line
Displays

• A fully compliant implementation of the Unified Point of


Service (UnifiedPOS) v1.14.1 international standard

• Support for Windows Plug and Play functionality

coupon code etc)

 User Access Levels. (Waiters cannot access reporting etc)

 Dashboard for Manager LIVE UPDATING and Acceble on POS System and

 WE USE MYOB ACCOUNTING SYSTEM (FOR DATA EXPORT, SALES,


PURCHASE)

 Different Pricing levels for restaurant, takeaway etc

 You can refer to MICROS website for other standard features of POS as we
are currently using MICROS. SCOPE REPORT MUST BE DETAILED AND
COVER DEVELOPMENT, TESTING, INSTALLATION, SUPPORT.
