This document supersedes SANS 10105-2:2005 (edition 3).

Introduction
Hose reels provide a very effective fire-fighting facility with a continuous supply of water available
immediately. They are valuable in the early stage of a fire and can be operated efficiently by an
untrained person.

1 Scope
This part of SANS 10105 covers the requirements for the installation and inspection of fire hose
reels and above-ground hydrants. Amdt 1
