HEALTH, SAFETY, SECURITY AND ENVIRONMENT
Executive Summary
This Volume provides the procedures and guidelines for managing Health, Safety,
Security, Environment (HSSE), Human Rights and all Emergency Communication
aspects of the Contractor’s Petroleum Operations. It is designed to ensure that the
operations and activities are carried out prudently and effectively in line with
industry best practices as well as providing the means by which PETRONAS will be
able to assess and steward the Contractor‘s contractual obligations.

This Volume contains minimum requirements to be complied by Contractor. Any

other HSSE-related documents (procedure, guidelines, directives, forms, etc.) that
have been issued (refer to Volume 3, Appendix 12) or to be issued by PETRONAS
shall be complied together with the requirements in this Volume.

Contractor is expected to ensure safe conduct of activity at all times and achieve
performance targets set by PETRONAS.
