OBJECTIVES
-Objective of this experiment is how to calculate inductive reactance based on voltage,V and
current,I.
B.APPARATUS
-Function generator
-Oscilloscope
-Multimeter
-Connection wire
-RCL circuit
C.THEORY
-This experiment is about the form in which electric power is delivered to businesses and
residences and it is the form of electrical energy that consumers typically use.
D.PROCEDURE
1-Switch on the power and set the power to 5K.Then,set the output.
2-Do the connection as shown in figure.
3-Set the voltmeter to 20V for alternating current.
4-Set the ammeter to 200 mA for alternating current.
5-Set the frequency at 500 Hz.
6-Take the readings of voltmeter and ammeter.
7-Repeat the step 5 with different frequency that given in the table 1.

G. Discussion
L = XL
2π f
= 0.0437
(2)(3.142) (500)
L =0.0486 henry(H)
ii) Compare the calculated value with the given value (inductor (8.2 mH) by
calculating the percentage difference. Explain the percentage difference.
Cv = 4.86mH
Gv = 8.2Mh
Difference = 8.2-4.86
= 3.34
Percentage Difference = 3.34 X 100%
8.2
= 40.73%
There has a huge difference percentage as the result above because the circuit still
have concealed resistance that cause difference value in calculate value.
