5 Inch PVC Vertical Hydroponic Tower Garden - General Purchase List for 14 tower system,
split into two parts with nutrient container in the center, with 7 grow sites per tower.

This system was designed to fit into a closet in a science classroom with a large beam running
vertically in the center of the closet. Therefore, the nutrient container was placed between two
tower structures. Ball valves allow one side to be shut off if necessary. Two custom light fixtures
will be used on each side. This list may not be complete, depending on your specific
construction specifications. There were also changes made during the construction process. For
example, when my students glued the pipe, they did not always ensure a solid fit, so not all
towers are straight and evenly spaced. This required modification to the structure to secure
each tower with zip ties from the back, and the associated materials were not included in the
original list. Also, rockwool was purchased for 10 crops, and overall cost could be reduced if
less were purchased. Also extra supplies were purchased for student errors which occurred
during construction. When purchasing materials for your custom build, be sure to order what
you need for your space and production requirements. I also don’t endorse any particular
product or retailer used for this project.
