1.0 Okpoho Platform Metering Rehabilitation Overview
1.1 Introduction
The Okpoho platform metering and rehabilitation project is aim at decommissioning and
replacing the existing 2 phase Coriolis flow meter on the liquid line downstream the
existing Test separator within the wellhead production facility and commission the
existing multiphase flow meter upstream test separator. The existing 2 phase flowmeter
downstream and the orifice meter upstream shall be used to ensure consistency and
accuracy of the 3-phase meter along the 8” bulk line which directs crude oil to the parent
FPSO for further processing.
The Okpoho platform facility is design with 6 dual completion oil wells that produces the
Multiphase fluid from the production wellhead to the 12’’ Crude oil production manifold
and the 6 ‘’ test manifold that take multiphase fluid (Oil/Water/Gas) available to existing
test separator and tie -in to 16’’ flowline upstream Launching trap which currently deliver
multiphase fluid (Oil/Water/Gas) mixture through the launching trap unit to the 16’’ crude
oil sea line departing pipeline which deliver flow to 8’’ bulk line to FPSO Mystras where
further processing takes place before export.
However, project scope is mainly involved Calibration and Testing for the
decommissioning and replacement of existing Coriolis flow meter on the liquid line
downstream the Test separator, including testing, commissioning & handover of the
existing multiphase flow meter upstream the test separator and assessment of possibility
for piping modification and valve arrangement around manifold system unit to isolate
production manifold and well stream to test separator.
3.0 Manifolds
There are three major manifolds on the Okpoho platform project namely the production, Test and
Blowdown manifolds. However, within the current scope of project the 12’’ production manifold
which receives multiphase fluid at various individual flow rates from the six (6) dual completion
wellheads of DW-003(C) A & B, DW-005 (D) String A & B, DW- W2 (F) String A & B ,DW-W1 (G)
String A & B ,DW-E5 (E) String A & B, DW-004 (H) String A & B and the 6’’ Test manifold that
receive multiphase wellhead fluid from any of the above listed well which is intended to be put on
test are of concern in this scope. The 12’’ production manifolds receives flow from producing
wellheads and deliver to Launching trap unit at bar tee, while the 6’’ test manifold receives
multiphase fluid (Oil,water,Gas) from a particular well string and route it to existing test separator
for testing.
