Another typeof time expression is a prepositional phrase for time. The type of
phrase that follows the preposition shows which preposition to use.

Spelling
In the alphabet. the vowels are a. e,i. o and u.The other letters are
consonants. To make the third person singular form of averb in the Present
simple, we need to follow spelling rules.
• We add -s if the verb ends in a consonant (e.g. read reads) or a
consonant sound (e.g. write writes).
• We replace -y with -ies if the verb ends in a consonant+ -y (e.g. stu dy
studies)
• We add -es if the verb ends in a vowel(e.g. go goes)
