Adjective Order - Practice 1

When more than one adjective is used in a sentence, it is important to put them in the right order.
Using the acronym O SASh.COM (Opinion, Size, Age, Shape, Colour, Origin and Material),
practice putting adjective in the right order in the following activities.

Reading Practice. In this activity, read the following paragraph and identify the sentences which
use more than one adjective. In some sentences, the adjectives are in the wrong order. Underline the
incorrect sentences and write in the space below.

On the weekend I went shopping for a new dress. I was hoping for something long, blue and silky.
However, I could only find dresses that were silky, green and short. In the end, I bought a dress
that was beautiful, long and turquoise. After shopping, I stopped off at a cafe for a cup of coffee.
The cakes looked so good that I couldn’t help myself! I chose a pink, American-style, chocolate,
delicious cake.
