SPIDER-MAN’S STORY
Spider-Man is a character who first appeared in a
comic book in 1962. Later, the story about Peter
Parker, created by Stan Lee, was so popular that it
was adapted for TV in 1994 and for the big screen
in 2002 for the first time.
Peter is a boy who moves in with his uncle and
aunt, Ben and May Parker, after his parents, Mary
and Richard, die. He was such an intelligent
student that he always did really well at school.
Unlike the plot of other superhero stories, the
setting of the Spider-Man story is not another
planet like Crypton or a fictional city like Gotham; it
is New York City. He is not as rich and eccentric as
Batman or as indestructible as Superman; Peter
Parker is just a regular young man.
The plot starts when Peter attends a public
exhibition and gets bitten by a spider. From that
moment, he starts to develop superpowers and
discovers that he has the ability to stick to the walls
with his fingertips. He decides to use such useful
and wonderful skills to fight crime, while continuing
to have a regular life. He works at a newspaper is a
photographer selling pictures of himself as Spider-
Man to the Daily Bugle. As a result, Spider-Man
becomes the most famous citizen in New York.
Peter is so emotional and romantic that his love life
is always included in the plot. His first love was Liz
Allan, but his first girlfriend was Gwen Stacey, who
died during a fight between Spider-Man and Green
Goblin. After some time, a beautiful woman called
Mary Jane came into Peter’s life and she is now
recognized by most people as his soul mate.
