NIL SINE NUMINE: A reflection of the SGS VMGO

The Vision of the Liceo Graduate Studies visualize the competent and excellent
leaders, players and innovators with their respective fields of specializations. The Vision
not only foresee the quality product or a graduate but established in themselves the
professionalism of discipline and quality training which practically the language of
development and growth, maturity and perfection which not only in the intellectual level
but in totality of the graduate student. The structure of the Vision of Liceo Graduate
Studies foretold the phases of achieving excellence, and implored the history of success
like an old wine that is sweet and refine. I realized that in order for me to achieve such
vision, I must emerse to the intense intellectual and emotional enterprise to integrate the
very fabric of the vision into my core being.
The Mission of SGS can be summarize into one phrase “total human formation in
the service of the people, and of God”. When I say total human formation, it is not like a
one side of the formation but containing every angle of formation, may it be the intellect,
emotions, social, and of the community, a one enterprise that succumbs all. Therefore, If
I am in this program, how fortunate am I to engage, immerse, and be able to form such
noble aspiration not for my own sake but for the community. It is a privilege therefore to
be in this team and the assumption are, one, I must have the humility to be trained,
disciplined, and formed, two, I must know my strength and weakness so that I could
integrate myself and be able to know where to develop and flourish, and lastly, I must be
proud that I am in this program.
The Objectives of SGS primarily for me to equip necessary means to achieve such
goals or vision. Quality instruction, research, production, and community outreach are the
instruments not just for me to achieve such deadlines and projects but the utilization for
greater good. It means, these means can be of service to the community, which translates
the ultimate goal of SGS, to be competent and excellent leaders, players and innovators.
On the final note, to be a Licean graduate (master’s degree), expected of me to
learn and aware my failures and at the same time gained wisdom and knowledge all
throughout the process and the Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives of SGS will remind
me of my track to follow, and success to chase but most importantly, to remind myself
that I am nothing without the will of God for me, hence the motto of Liceo, Nil Sine Numine,
Nothing without the Divine Will, which the ultimate core or essence of all Vision. May God
be praise! Fiat Voluntas tua!
