HOT WORKS: Use of hand and power tools (Welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, threading,support, toch-up painting & power tools operations)

1. Prior to work commence, valid work permit shall be obtained, all work which is conducted in LNGI shall comply with P0058LNG-0000-PD-0024_Permit to Work.
2. Approved method statement & risk assessment shall be in place
3. Before starting activity, TBT/TSTI shall be conducted to identify and understand hazards and control measures.
4. Wear approved mandatory PPE's with appropriate ones (safety goggles, gum boots, disposable coveralls, rubber gloves, ear plugs)
5. Prior to work commence, all involved personnel shall undergo required training courses in accordance with P0058LNG-00800PD-0006_HSE Training Plan and Training matrix. Always ensure only
skilled/Trained/Experienced personnel shall use handle& power tools.EPC contractor shall ensure that only competent&trained workers are allowded to work
6.ELCB rated 30mA system in place for electrical power source. Electric tools should not be used in damp or wet locations.
7.Shall strictly comply with "P0058LNG-0080-PD-0045 - Safe Work Practices for Hot Works" Before doing Hot work activities ensure that all combustible materials are removed from the work premises (8m
radius). Use fire retardant fire blanket booth for contain all sparks. Sufficient number of inspected certified fire extinguisher to be provided
8. All manual handling works shall comply with P0058LNG-0080-PD-0039 Manual Handling procedure. HEC approved fire watcher to be deployed at site for all hot works
9. Welding machine &power tools should have a valid inspection sticker and color coded
10. The RPM of the cutting or grinding wheel shall be higher than the RPM of the machine. Always check for the appropriate current rating.cables,sockets ,splitters should have more current rating than the

33. Dispose chemical waste in a designated area,label as "HAZARDOUS WASTE STORAGE AREA"
34. All hazardous waste generated such as used welding rods and grinding /cutting wheels shall be collected in proper bins and shall be disposed as per KIPIC waste manifest procedure.
35.Disposal information mentioned on MSDS shall be strictly followed .KEPA approved TPC agency shall be deployed for chemical waste disposal

1. Work permit risk assessment is all about evaluation of risk associated with particular job. The risks are evaluated without controls in

6. Issuer shall enter risk assessment reference number on the work permit (Under other detail in Section-3)

7. Executor shall attach and display it with original (Executor's copy) copy of work permit at work site.

Specific prevention and protection measures KNPC references: All relevant KNPC Safety Regulations/ Safe Work practices
shall be strictly followed. For activities other than mentioned above separate Risk Assessment to be carried out.
