Self-Introduction

I’m Dionicio A. Galvizo, Jr., from SDO Cauayan City, Cauayan East District,
currently teaching Grade V at Dianao Elementary School, a multigrade class. I was
designated as Teacher In-charge (TIC) last August 28, 2019. I’m serving as TIC for one
(1) year and three (3) months last November 28, 2020. I served as a volunteer teacher
for three years in kindergarten, two years at Dianao Elemtary School and one year at
Manaoag Elementray School. I got my regular item last July 06, 2015.
I graduated from Dianao Elementary School with honors, 5 th honorable mention
last S.Y. 2001-2002. I finished my secondary education at Gappal High School with
academic honors, 5th honorable mention last S.Y. 2005-2006. During my tertiary level,
I took Bachelor in Elementary Education at Isabela State University, Cauayan Campus
and graduated on April 10, 2010. I pursued my Masters Degree at Isabela Colloges,
Inc. and graduated March 2018.
Dianao Elementary School is located at the eastern part (forest region) of
Cauayan City. Our school is composed of five (5) regular teachers and it has 105
learners from kindergarten to grade VI. In this time of COVID-19 pandemic, we have
also five (5) volunteer teachers a resident of Dianao, Cauayan City, Isabela. They are
all education graduates and passed the BLEPT exam. They are our co-workers in
continuing and providing quality education here in our community.
DES was finalist in the division level during the recently conducted Search for
Best Performing School and I’m very happy and proud also because I, as TIC serving
for more than one (1) year joined also for the Search for Best Performing School Head,
and I was honored to achieve 1st runner-up during the district level. Our school also
joined the Best Brigada Eskwela Implementer and we got the 1 st runner-up during the
cluster level.
One of the annual programs of our school is that, “Elementary Day or the
School Day Celebration” wherein we can raise money for the improvement of our
school and other projects. Last year, our major projects are our school gate and the
concreting pathway and evacuation area (playground) of our school with the full
support of our PTA officers, Brgy. Officials and stakeholders.
We all know that this course TEACHeXCELS is very important to us as a school
head or as a school leader to equip and develop our skills and knowledge to become
more effective and efficient leader. However, I’m expecting more patience and
perseverance in developing my skills in this course.
My friends and others used to call me “Devoted Diony”. I stand firm and
devoted to everyone, because I focus on a particular thing exclusively to achieve my
goals and objectives for the benefit of everyone especially to the external stakeholders
for the good communication and partnerships. I am more than an educator: serving as
a role model, a mentor, public servant and a friend of the community as a whole. My
goal is to improve our school facilities and holistic development of every learner and
my colleagues. That’s me being a DEVOTED one.
