i- How the role of leader is different in TQM as compared to conventional management. What
assumptions support this change in leadership role? How this paradigm suggests implementation
of the goals? (1 Page) (1+2+2)

i- How do you understand the silos structure within a conventional organization? Is it a good thing
or not good (in terms of quality management)? If you think it right then provide arguments for it
and suggest why, and if you think it’s not good then also discuss it with arguments and suggest
why (students cannot have both (good or not good answers) at the same time for this course)? Try
also to relate your discussion to a TQM principle. (1 Page) (2+0.5+3+0.5 Marks)

i- Explain the concept of Empowerment? (1/2 Page) (2 Marks)

ii- Compare the ‘types of teams’ with the ‘characteristics of successful teams’ and ‘effective team
meetings’. After the comparison suggest which type of team is more successful and effective
comparatively. Your opinion must base on solid argument taken from your curriculum instead of
judgements. (1-2 Pages) (5 Marks)
