Universal Design for Learning (UDL): How this activity uses the UDL guidelines is genuinely I'm presenting
the information or concept of body image to be students, and they can differentiate the ways they express
themselves and how they view their bodies, and for some, it will stimulate interest and motivation for
learning how the world around them affects everything including how they perceive themselves

Lesson idea implementation: I would imagine this activity might take one to two class periods. For each
student, it will be different. Some people don't think about their bodies; they might have to think about their
bodies and how they view themselves every day. Why I believe this specific activity in a classroom would also
advocate for body image positivity awareness. Some students may never think about how other students
view themselves negatively and how that might affect their friendship or schoolwork. I would grade this really
on a sense of content. Does it reflect the student is there emotion behind it? Is it something the student could
explain to someone else by the end of this project? I would like them to be able to teach a lesson on body
image themselves, and if their sway presentation does not feel like it would teach a class about body image,
then it does not get a passing grade.

Reflective Practice: How I feel this body image presentation could impact student learning is that it could lead
to a unit about eating disorders. I would use this as an instant activity or along those lines to get students
thinking about how some people fall into this negative body image mindset. Exposing students to this will
help lower the cases of eating disorders; if you tell the studnets it is normal to eat and have a little fat on
them. Teach students as long as they are active every day and eating the healthiest they can their bodies do
not reflect their worth.
