GENERAL ACADEMIC STRAND (GAS)

AGENDA DETAILS/AGREEMENT
1. Start of the Meeting -The meeting started at 11: 30 AM having the
teachers of General Academic Strand
-It was presided by Dr. Leah L. Olua, Subject
Group Head, GAS
2. Pre-Reading Assessment -Information dissemination about the reading
assessment dated on June 17-21, 2019
-copies of the reading assessment will be
submitted to the principal, SDS, and PSDS of
English Department
-Review and feedback of the test results will be
on June 27-July 1, 2019
-Starting June the implementation of IREACT
program which will be integrated once a week
3. Full Utilization of LR Corner -LR corner was emphasized by the SDS that it
should be available inside the classroom
-Full utilization of LR corner
-Grouping of learners should be based on the
IREACT result
-Formation of reading validation team will be on
August to September
-Submission of post reading assessment will be
on January 2020
4. Mathematics (PROJECT KWENTA) -DLL should be contextualized
-Project TOAST TOS was also discussed
5. Science -DLL used should follow the 7E Model from
grades 3-12
6. Filipino -Activities in Filipino subject will be a classroom
based
7. MAPEH -Festival of talents will be scheduled on
September 26-27, 2019
8. Araling Panlipunan -National Flag Day was mention
9. SGOD -School safety guidelines with DepEd Order
#34,S.2009
-Smoking Ban was also discussed DepEd Order #
73, S. 2009
-Smoking awareness based from Executive Order
# 26, 2017
10. Balik-Eskwela -As per observation of the observer, most of the
television was not on the right placement, so the
observers advised to put the television should be
placed within the level of the student so that they
can see it easily
-Poor ventilation was tackled
-Excessive cabinets and chairs are advised to
remove it to avoid over crowded
-Only one line of plants in the pathways are
advised
-Removal of landscapes in hallways
11. Lesson Planning -Teachers 1-3 will checked by the Master
Teachers and Subject Group Head
-Master Teachers will checked by the Assistant
Principal
-Submission every Friday for the lesson of the
incoming week
-File submitted should be placed at the incoming
files and can be picked up at the outgoing files
-For observation purposes, DLL should be a one
day format
12. Class Program -Should be posted so that the students should
know their schedule
-The room should have a name of strand and
section, and room number
-Should be placed outside the room
13. Meeting Sessions -All meetings should be properly permitted by the
Assistant Principal
-Meetings must be schedule during vacant time
so that there will be no class disruption
-Ask permission for emergency leave
-Minutes of the meeting should be passed one
week after the meeting
-Secretary should provide two hard copies with
signatories
14. Submission of Reports -Reports should be submitted on time
15. Students Uniform -Students should wear the prescribed uniform
-Earrings, colored undershirts should be removed
for the boys
-Teachers should inform the students to have
their ID because the school imposed strictly the
NO ID NO ENTRY policy
16. Homeroom Guidance -Homeroom sponsors should pass a report during
homeroom guidance
-The format will be in bullet form
17. Flag Ceremony -No zumba during flag ceremony
18. RPMS -ESAT and development
-Sir Jomel Sobrevilla is assigned for the soft copy
-Mam Karen Tarape is assigned for the ESAT
Assessment
19. Time -Time in for teachers must be 7:30 and time out
must be 5:00
20. Clearance -Clearance should be passed whether finished or
not finished
21. Locator’s Slip -Teachers will sign to the log book of the guard
with the permission of the subject group head
-Ask permission to the subject group head for the
absences ahead of time

22. PTA Project -Teachers are not allowed to collect money for
the PTA project.
-PTA officers are in charge to buy the item as
their project
23. Proper Waste Disposal -Wastes must be disposed outside the trash after
class hours
24. Transparent Leadership -Transparency board should be placed for
transparency purposes
25. SPED Seminar -Every Saturday
26. Action Research -GAS teachers agreed to have an action research
at the end of the semester
27. Extension Program -BJMP
28. IGP -Income generating project discussed
29. TESDA/Training Assessment -Sir Jomel Sobrevilla assigned to communicate to
the partners of the said assessment
30. Birthday Celebrants -Celebrants will be celebrated as bonding for GAS
teachers
