Purpose: to include students in the Anglophone cultural space through the study of the national characteristics of the feast of
Thanksgiving in the United States.

Objectives:
1. to enter into asset students new vocabulary on the subject and secure it through the active participation of children in gaming
activities.
2. to improve students speech.
3. to develop the skills of students in reading, speaking, listening.
4. to create conditions for consolidating knowledge into practice on grammar.
5. to develop a logical and creative thinking of students.
Equipment: Turkey is a symbol of the holiday, invitations, templates in the form of small turkeys, tokens in the form of
turkeys,ppt,cowboy song,wall papers.
Specific competences:
 Finding out information by pupils about the origin of Thanksgiving Day holiday, old legends, symbols, games, costumes,
songs specific it.
 Aplying the knowledge achieved at the English lesson.

  Using of imagination in creating decorations,specific food , creating costumes specific to celebration.
 Stimulating the spirit of competion by participating on differet games and contests.

Pres.1: This holiday is celebrated only in America. But as language learners we
should know the history of the country of the target language.
Pres. 2: Această sărbătoare este sărbătorită doar în America (Statele Unite ale
Americii), dar noi, ca națiune care studiază limba engleză, trebuie să cunoaștem
istoria vorbitorilor limbii anglo-saxone. (engleză).

Pres.1 : Thanksgiving Day is a time for tradition and sharing. Even if people live
far away from home, the family members gather for a reunion at the house of an older Wall paper 5 min.
relative. All give thanks together for the good things that they have. And they send
and get greeting cards for the holiday.
Now each team has to write what they are thankful for on the pieces of the Turkey Contest
tail.

Pres.2:Deci pe penele curcanului nostru elevii au afișat o mulțime de mulțumiri

pentru : viață,sănătate,părinți,frați,surori,mâncare,haine,natură,prieteni,etc.
- Împreună o să vizionăm o scenetă prezentată de elevii clasei a V-a, unde
Peligrimii s-au întâlnit cu Indienii nativi americani și s-au ajutat, apoi au
sărbătorit împreună.

At the holiday table
An Peligrim: We have gathered a rich harvest this winter. Nobody will be hungry this winter.
1 Child: We have a lot of food: cucumbers, carrots, cabbages, onions. Our men hunt wild turkeys,
geese and ducks.
2 Child: Now we can treat our family and guests with roast turkey, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie
and sweet potatoes.

An Indian: Let this dishes always be on our tables!!!
All together : Thank you god for everything you gave us! They stand up and pray. (ridică
mâinile pt.a se ruga)
Peligrim:Oh, thanks GOD for food, clothes,houses and everything we have this year!
Indian : Dear Lord, on this Thanksgiving Day, please, continue to be near, and guide us through
another year!

They all sitting at the table and raise up glasses of juice and shouts : Happy Thanksgiving Day!

Pres.2 : De atunci curcanul copt în cuptor cu sos, checkul din dovleac, cartofii
dulci și borumbul dulce, sunt deliciile tradiționale pentru masa de sărbătoare a
americanilor la ziua recunoștinței. Singing a song 5 min

Pres.2 Acum aș vrea să ne distrăm puțin împreună și vom purcede la jocuri
distractive. 2 Games 7m

1 Primul joc: În față este fixată o cutie și fiecare membru din echipă trebuie să
arunce de la distanță o jucărie ce luminează cu chip de pasăre (angry bird) în acea
cutie, dacă toți membrii echipei au nimerit cutia,acumulează 1 punct.

Pres.1 2.Al doilea joc: PASS THE CORN GAME (4 teams)
Lets devide into four teams and have them form each team a line.We will need a cob
of dried Indian corn for each team.
 
1. At the signal "go", the corn cob is to be passed from child to child. The catch is that
they can use any part of their bodies, except their hands.

 2. If the corn touches the ground at any time, it must go back to the beginning of the
line again. 
Awarding 3 min.
3. Whichever team manages to get the corn to the end of the line first wins the game. 
4. The corn can also be used in a relay, with the kids putting the corn between their
knees, and racing "crab" style".
5.You must to fill the basket with the corn cob, each team must have 5 corns in the
basket. If they do not let the corn to touche the ground until they pass the corn,the last
player puts it in the basket,if it touches the ground, the corn is not taken in count. The
first team who fills the basket with 5 corns is the winner.
Pres.2 Acum rugăm juriul format din 3 membri să adune punctele acumulate de către
fiecare echipă și să ia decizia, care echipă v-a primi locul I,II,III și IV.
