Imagine if your assigned invention had never been made, how would our world be
different today? Why is it so important? Only with a convincing pitch will the “sharks”
(investors) approve manufacturing your invention! Good luck and be creative!
Directions
1. You will put yourselves into groups of 4 (maximum 5) - (I will help as needed to make sure
everyone is in a group)
2. In class, you will pick a number from 1-9 to see which invention is your group’s
3. You and your group will...
a. Research your assigned invention
i. EACH group member should complete the Google Doc research
b. Write a script for your sales pitch
i. Must include at least 3 main points in support of your invention (one must deal
with the future positive impact)
c. Make an ad/poster to market your invention during your pitch
d. Present your invention and sales pitch to the class (at least 2 minutes long and at
least 2 presenters)
i. You can record and edit a video for your pitch OR present it live. Regardless,
pitches will be presented on the day of the Chapter 11 Quiz.
Your final project grade will be based on quality
completion, submission, and following directions for:
● The script
● The ad/poster
● The pitch presentation
● Contribution to your group (peer evaluation)
