3.Mary has 3 pet spiders. Each has 8 legs. How many legs do
they have in total?

Number of spiders = 3
Number of legs with each spider = 8
Total legs in 3 spiders (In total) = 3 x 8 = 8+ 8+ 8 = 24.
Addition sentence = 8+ 8+ 8 = 24.

Multiplication sentence = = 3 x 8 = 24.
