Dianal Hydroxyl Functional Acrylic Resins

Introduction
Dianal America has developed a series of unique acrylic bead resin which contains
hydroxyl (OH) groups. The series can be split into three groups; lower hydroxyl content
resins with solid hydroxyl value (OHV) of less than 10, medium hydroxyl content resins
with solid OHV between 50 and 100, and higher hydroxyl content resins with solid OHV
over 100.

Features and Benefits

 Reactive with isocyanate crosslinkers, for ambient cure systems
 Reactive with melamines for use in baking systems
 Improved intercoat and topcoat adhesion.
 Lower hydroxyl resins are ideal for formulating reactive hot melt adhesives
 These resins are all in solid bead form, which offers formulators maximum freedom
to choose an optimal solvent system for their requirements. The bead form also
means that the products are easy to store and handle, with no fire hazards.
 Resins can be manufactured with varying OHV, molecular weight, glass transition
temperatures (Tg), monomer compositions and with varying concentrations of
different functional groups.
