1. What factors contribute to the determination of one’s correct weight?

The factors contribute to the determination of one’s correct weight are genetic factors,
psychological factors, economical factors, lifestyle factors and disease such as hypothyroidism.
This factors become the determination of one’s correct weight because if it will not be control
or balance could lead to malnutrition.

2. What are some causes of overweight?


Causes of overweight are physical inactivity, overeating, genetics, a diet with high simple
carbohydrates, frequency of eating, psychological factors, and some disease that can cause
obesity. People gain weight when they eat more calories than they burn through activity that
may lead later on with overweight. The environmental stress often leads to overeating and lack
of rest or sleep which also could cause hormonal imbalance. If a person has obese parents, he
has big chance to inherit the genes that causes obesity. The diseases causing weight gain have
also great contribution to becoming an overweight such as hypothyroidism and other hormonal
problem.

3. Explain why changing eating habits is essential to an effective weight loss program.

Weight gain usually from poor eating habits so having a good eating habits will lead to effective
weight loss program. Having a good eating habits includes eating balance diet in a day with
2,500 calories consumption in a day for a man and 2,000 Kcal for a woman. Exercise with plan
for a meal every day to have a balance diet is more effective than unplanned meals to have a
successful weight loss program.

4. Discuss why some people eat more than they need.

Some people eat more than they need because of some factors that they are not aware and
uncontrollable like food palatability, portion size, food variety, distractions, and stress eating.
The people tend to have a great desire to satisfy their wants and cravings for foods without
minding the size, quantity and quality of what they eat. To lessen the stress most of the person,
tend to eat more to cope up and relieve their stress which leads to distraction while eating and
consume food more than they need.

5. Discuss how overeating can be prevented or changed?

It can be prevented or change by having a discipline in eating. Too much consumption should
stop while minimizing extra meal in a day. However, there are simple ways that could prevent us
in overeating like using a small plate, drinking a full glass of water before eating a meal, trying
volumetric, change slowly the bad eating habits with healthy eating habits. We should be aware
of the factors why we eat more than we need so that we will know when and where to stop.
6. Explain why a high-calorie diet could be unpleasant to the client?

Eating too many high-calorie foods, particularly processed foods that are high in fat, starches or
sugar, can cause us to be overweight or obese, change in body composition, and risk to have a
certain disease such as Type 2 Diabetes, heart disease and certain cancers. It is never good to
have this changes and effects for us and for our client.

7. Discuss the causes and dangers of underweight.

The causes of being underweight is having not enough healthy foods with key nutrients to fuel the body
for our daily activity. The patient with underweight is risk for malnutrition, vitamin deficiencies,
osteoporosis from too little vitamin D and calcium, decreased immune function, increased risk for
complications from surgery, fertility issues caused by irregular menstrual cycles, and growth and
development issues especially in children and teenagers.

ang gawing temporaryong komon na linguahe habang wala pang opisyal na wikang pambansa.
Noong 1935 napili ng komiti ang wikang Tagalog subalit ito ay napalitan kalaunan. Ang Wikang
Filipino ang napili ng 1973 at 1987 konstitusyon na maging komon na wikang pambansa.

CASSEY: Ow? Kilala mo siya Dino?
DINO: Oo, nakalimutan mo na siya? Siya yung kaklase natin noong elementarya, yung
palakaibigan at mabait.
TAGAPAGSALAYSAY: At nilapitan nila ang bagong kakaklase.
DINO: Magandang umaga! Ako pala si Dino, naalala mo pa ba kami ni Cassey? Kami yung kaklase
mo noon bago ka pumuntang U.S.
MARGARITA: What? What are you saying? Could you please speak in English? I can’t understand
you! And by the way, I’m not Margarita, I am Marga.
TAGAPAGSALAYSAY: Nagulat ang dalawa sa inasal ni Margarita at di na nakakibo.
At ang ganitong pag asta ay kanyang pinagpatuloy. Ang kanyang dating mga kaibigan ay hindi na
siya nilalapitan para bigyan siya ng leksyon.
MARGARETA: Why are you not talking to me now Dino?
DINO: Kasi Margarita, nandito kana sa Pilipinas at dapat huwag ka ng kumilos na para kang nasa
U.S na halos di mo na masalita ang wikang kinalakihan natin. Kaya ka rin iniiwasan ng mga
kaklase natin kasi ang taray na ng dating mo.
MARGARITA: Ah, ganon ba Dino? Sige di ko na ulit gagawin yung ginawa ko sa inyo noong isang
linggo. Salamat sa pagiging matapat mo at paumanhin sa inasal ko sa inyo ni Cassey.

TAGAPAGSALAYSAY: Saan man tayo makarating, huwag nating kalimutan ang ating
pinanggalingan at tayo’y manatiling mabuti at mapagkumbaba. Huwag rin nating isantabi ang
ating sariling wika at ika nga ni Dr. Jose Rizal “Ang taong di marunong magmahal sa sariling wika
