2. PAC – MCS

- Load all media and non-media content loadables that the aircraft requires on the PL3000 and HDD OMLs (1
per aircraft)
- Test the new components at the rack
- Provide a content loadable manifest of all media and non-media content loadables loaded on the PL3000
- Ship PL3000 and HDD OMLs to Spafax/PTS

3. ACA CONTENT MANAGEMENT TEAM

- Upload all of the new non-media content loadables before the start of the new month content loading on the
following online shared drive: http://tinyurl.com/aca-ife-content
- Update the content loadable manifest of all media and non-media content loadables indicating the ones that
need to be loaded for a specific cycle and their respective content loading mechanism (USB, PL3000, Cell
Modem)
- As required, include additional testing steps to be conducted on the ground after content loading activities

4. SPAFAX / PANASONIC PTS

4.1 Before going to the Aircraft

- Receive PL3000 and HDDOMLs from Panasonic (Lake Forest)


- Download all non-media content loadables for the cycle from the following online shared drive(should be all
content components except for media kit) http://tinyurl.com/aca-ife-content
- On a USB drive, include all non-media loadables that need to be loaded for a given cycle
- Verify that all all non-media content loadables are available and are matching the version specified on the
content loading manifest
- Spafax to contact PTS DL-ACA-TSR@panasonic.aero or PTS to contact Spafax john@bulletdigital.com to
advise on the schedule planned for the load (Who contacts who depends on who is leading the load, as of
now PTS is doing the load and Spafax observing)

4.2 On the Aircraft – PL3000 media load

- Make sure PTS and Spafax are both present


- Call MOC to advise of the start of the load
- Do a power cycle from the flight deck by pushing the IFE/Pax seats switch on the P5 panel
- After the reboot, allow 10 minutes for the system to be stable
- Do an all test and verify that there are no active failures on CS or NC. If unsure about the faults, please
contact Cabin MOC
- Do a configuration check and make sure that the 2NCs and the 2 CSs report and there are no errors
- If you find any problem with NCs or CSs, stop the load and call MOC to let them know the issue and ask them
to call maintenance for troubleshooting.
- Connect PL3000 to the system
- Remove last month HDD from the HDDOML
- Go to Loading/LMS content load menu
- Verify that the aircraft is detecting all of the content loadables from PL3000 report as N/A are only the ones
on the new month content configuration summary
- Select the checkbox next to the media bundle
- Click start
- At the end of the load, when Media load correctly verify that Media kit report as activated.
- Reboot IFE from flight deck
- After boot verify NDB push and verify all seats are green.
- Go to Loading/LMS content load menu
- Verify that the aircraft is detecting all of the content loadables from PL3000 report as N/A are only the ones
on the new month content configuration summary
- Select the checkbox next to the all of the non-media content components to be loaded
- At the end of the load, when all components load correctly verify that all of the content components report
as activated, and that there are no content components with Activated with error.

NOTE: If Media/Content load fails please call maintenance and notify them of the failed load and ask for urgent
support. Until media load is successfully completed, the IFE on the system might not work.

- Reboot IFE from flight deck


- Remove Pl3000 from the system
- Take a content check from the aircraft and print it
- Verify that the new content check matches the new month content configuration summary
- On Maint, go to system status – NBD status and verify all seats are green, if you see yellow go out of that
page and back to refresh the status.
- Perform an operational check on the system
- Insert the HDD with the new month content into the HDDOML.
- As required, perform any additional testing specified on the content configuration summary
- Notify maintenance of any issue with the load or testing.
- Call MOC to notify the end of the load.

4.3 On the Aircraft – USB Content load (non-media content)

- Call MOC to advise of the start of the load


- Do a power cycle from the flight deck by pushing the IFE/Pax seats switch on the P5 panel
- After the reboot, allow 10 minutes for the system to be stable
- Do an all test and verify that there are no active failures on CS or NC. If unsure about the faults, please
contact Cabin MOC
- Do a configuration check and make sure that the 2NCs and the 2 CSs report and there are no errors

- Insert USB key to the CT
- Go to Loading/LMS content load menu
- Verify that the aircraft is detecting all of the content loadables from USB report as N/A are only the ones on
the new month content configuration summary
- Select the checkbox next to the all of the non-media content components to be loaded
- At the end of the load, when all components load correctly verify that all of the content components report
as activated, and that there are no content components with Activated with error.

NOTE: If Content load fails please call maintenance and notify them of the failed load and ask for urgent
support. Until media load is successfully completed, the IFE on the system might not work.
- Reboot IFE from flight deck
- Remove USB key from CT
- Take a content check from the aircraft and print it
- Verify that the new content check matches the new month content configuration summary
- Perform an operational check on the system

- Notify maintenance of any issue with the load or testing.
- Call MOC to notify the end of the load.
