A study guide should only be used to give you some idea of where you need to concentrate.

Make the guide

your own and modify to your own study style. Move at your own pace, some students might find this schedule
too long and others not enough time.

Enjoy the journey, take as much time as needed, the goal is 30, and always keep that in mind, and never strive
for anything less.

It is important to use the most current edition of the DAT Destroyer. We update the materials in accordance
with changes to the DAT (OAT) exam. No other company pays such close attention to the current DAT trends.
The Math section has been totally redone, thus using the new book is important to help you achieve a highscore
on this often-overlooked section, a low score in this section often leads to a retake. Beware.

Again, this study guide will give you some general guidance, but I urge you to modify it according to your own
special needs. I hope to hear from you on the Facebook Study Group and hope that you will find the DAT
Destroyer book a useful resource as you prepare for the DAT. For free videos join our, YouTube Channel .
You need to join the Facebook Study Group to access some of the files from the study guide.

This is the most important exam of your life, use the most current DAT Destroyer, take
part in the Facebook Study Group, and master the basic concepts. This is a difficult path, but I am confident that
you will follow in the footsteps of thousands of students who have passed through the halls of Romano
Scientific and mastered the DAT Destroyer by understanding all the questions along with the very detailed
solutions.

Orgoman PAT Playlist

**We recommend that you watch the videos in the PAT

playlist, and use the tests in TopScore. At only $59 dollars

for seven months it is a great value, and you get other

subject tests as well. The DAT Exam is in 2D for the PAT

section and not 3D, so you need to prepare as such. Make

sure you start preparing for this section early, and continue

practicing throughout the weeks of your studies. You can

also utilize the ADA PAT Modules.**

The Organic Chemistry Odyssey written solely by Dr. Jim Romano, is recommended if you need more help to
build a foundation in Organic Chemistry. Organic Chemistry is the subject must students find challenging and
not something that can be memorized, you must know the concepts. If you have a weak foundation, are a non-
traditional student, or just hate Organic Chemistry, this book written by Dr. Romano takes you through a wide
range or problems and prepares you to face this very challenging section on the DAT, many students have
received 30’s in this section using this book.

***Note on suggested materials***:

We recommend using these materials for extra practice while you are studying, for students who feel they need
more help before taking the exam. If you don’t understand something in the Chang or Klein books, check out
the chapter in the General Chemistry Destroyer or Organic Chemistry Odyssey to clarify. If you feel that you
have a strong foundation in General Chemistry or Organic Chemistry, you can choose to substitute these books
for the Chang and Klein books. We suggest placement of each chapter with a * in the study guide. You most
likely won’t have to complete all the problems in the book, use as much or as little as you need. Take what you
need and leave the rest!

This week, and those following, we will use the DAT and Math Destroyer books. We recommend making note

(a flashcard or in a composition notebook) of any and all topics that you struggle with from this book. We

encourage you to stop when you don’t understand something, and consult your textbook, or ask Dr. Romano in

the 2021 Official DAT Destroyer and OAT Destroyer Study Group. We do not recommend timing yourself on

these problems. Use it as a textbook, and learn from both the questions and the answers – we find both

important! We spread this study guide in length to make sure to review problems that you are unsure of again

(and again, and again).

For every problem: Do not only answer the question, make sure you understand why the other answers are not

correct, and the mini-lesson in the answer section. Make sure to stop and make note of any topic or problem that

you struggle with, and consult a textbook if needed. Many students make flashcards or take notes from the

Destroyer to review.

Week Fourteen
Continue to review the material that you are not comfortable with from all sections. Many students complete the
DAT Destroyer and Math Destroyer at least twice before sitting for the exam. While we have this period as a
week, we recommend that you take all the time you need to solidify all concepts before taking the exam. We
want to destroy the DAT beast on the first try!

Practice Exams
• Complete the Paid ADA Full DAT Exam
• Complete the Free ADA DAT Exam (realize this is typically easier than the real exam)
• Compete the Free OAT Exam (skip the physics if you are a DAT student) This can be found on the
Facebook page under files if you are having trouble opening the link.

Reading Comprehension

• Milk from teeth: Dental stem cells can generate milk-producing cells
• Do we trust artificial intelligence to mediate conflict? Not entirely
• The Universe Might Be a Giant Loop
• Screen-based media associated with structural differences in brains of young children
• How measles wipes out the body’s immune memory
• Creatine powers T cells’ fight against cancer
• Does herpes cause Alzheimer’s?

Remember – this is merely a guide, and we encourage you to make it your own. Do not rush to take the DAT or
OAT exam, the biggest mistake students make is to take the test when not fully prepared which often leads to a
retake. Let’s Destroy the DAT Beast in round 1.
We are always ready to answer question in the study group and posting new info daily.
