About This Release


IFC Centralized Manager 7.1 includes support for IMSI Whitelist Manager (regular user func onality), LLDP for standalone NPBs and third party devices,
improved High Availability mechanism and ISIP1 device support.

Upgrading to IFC Centralized Manager 7.1


Upgrade IFC Centralized Manager through the Client UI using the .img file

To upgrade IFC Centralized Manager with an image file:

1. Download the latest IFC Centralized Manager image, IFC_Centralized_Manager_7_1_0_428.img from the Ixia Customer Portal to your PC.

2. Enter into the browser URL, the IP address of the IFC Centralized Manager device you want to upgrade.

3. Enter your username and password and ensure you are accessing the correct host.

4. Click Login.

5. From the top right Gear bu on select Ixia Fabric Controller upgrade. The Upgrade Ixia Fabric Controller box appears.

6. Click Browse and navigate to the folder where you downloaded the .img file.

7. Select the image file and click Open. This downloads the .img to your PC.

8. Click Con nue. This transfers the .img file to the IFC Centralized Manager device.

9. Click OK. This installs the update and will restart the device. A message appears sta ng that the connec on to the server was lost.

10. Click OK.

11. Enter the IFC Centralized Manager IP into a browser URL again.

12. Log into IFC Centralized Manager.

Upgrade IFC Centralized Manager through CLI using the .sh file

To upgrade using the command line, use the shell script, IFC_Centralized_Manager_7_1_0_428.sh.

1. Copy the shell script to the IFC Centralized Manager home directory (/opt/netop cs or /usr/local/netop cs).

2. Log in as root to the IFC Centralized Manager machine.

3. Go to the IFC Centralized Manager home directory.

cd /opt/netoptics or
cd /usr/local/netoptics

4. Issue the following command to make the shell script executable:

chmod +x IFC_Centralized_Manager_7_1_0_428.sh

5. Issue the following command to shut down IFC Centralized Manager:

a. (CentOS 6) ./indigo_pro_server stop


b. (CentOS 7) systemctl stop indigo_pro_server

6. Run the shell script using the following command:

./ IFC_Centralized_Manager_7_1_0_428.sh

7. Issue the following command to start up IFC Centralized Manager:

a. (CentOS 6) ./indigo_pro_server start


b. (CentOS 7) systemctl start indigo_pro_server

8. Check to ensure that the server is running:

./indigo_pro_server status

9. If the server is not running, issue the following command to restart the server.

a. (CentOS 6) ./indigo_pro_server restart


b. (CentOS 7) systemctl restart indigo_pro_server
