STANDARD FORMAT FOR PROJECT PRESENTATION
A. COVER PAGE
This is the front of the research report and contains the following in the order:
i. Project title (Not more than twenty-three (23) words)
ii. Full names of the student. Surname is written first, followed by a comma and
other names
iii. Registration number
iv. Department
v. Faculty
vi. Institution
vii. Month, year of completion of project.
Character type capital letters (except biological, botanical or technical terms that should
be in small letter.
Font type: Times new romans
Font size: 14 points
Alignment: Centre (top margin and bottom margin must be equal)
Colour: Brown
Paper size: A4 paper

B. UNIVERSITY LOGO
The university logo page follows immediately after the cover page

C. PRELIMINARY PAGES
The following sub-headings should be presented in this order:
i. Cover page
ii. Title page-contains
a. Project title
b. A project report submitted to the department……………Faculty of
Engineering, Caritas University, Amorji Nike, Enugu in partial fulfilment of
the requirement for the award of Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree
in………………………………..
c. Student’s name and registration number
d. Month, year.

iii. APPROVAL PAGE
The approval page shall contain the following information
This topic (name the project topic) has been examined by the department found worthy of
research.
HOD’s name, signature and date.

iv. CERTIFICATION
This is to certify that this research work title “……… submitted by (student’s name) for the
award of Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Dept’s name. Faculty of Engineering. Caritas
university. Amorji Nike, Enugu is a research work carried out by him or her.
Character type: Certification is written in capital, font size 14. The write up and names
appear in font size 12

v. DEDICATION
This contains statement(s) that the research work is dedicated to someone, or groups of
people, etc.

vi. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
The student expresses gratitude to individuals, institution or organization that render
substantial assistance.

vii. ABSTRACT
Abstract should highlight the arears of research work, method, result, implication and
conclusion, it should not be more than two hundred and fifty (250) words. No paragraphing
and indentation, single line spacing (1.0).

viii. TABLE OF CONTENTS


A research project work should be clearly sign-posted by main headings and appropriate sub-
headings. The table of contents provides a guide to the structure, coverage and pagination of
the report. Every heading or sub-heading in the table of contents must appear in the text. It is
not necessary that every sub-heading in the text appears in the table of contents. Common
systems of headings and style of listing includes capitalization, bolding of letters, indentation
and using other resources of the computer/printer system.
