Implementation
Every project is unique
• A critical success factor in an IPM project is the generation of project
specific management documentation.

• IPMS process will be used by each project to build project specific

management systems and processes to suit its environment and contract.

• Project Management Discipline through IPMS enables to:

• Prepare a coherent plan to address cost, staff, operations, communication, risk,
procurement , QHSE management and project standards.
• meet all customer, contract and SLB project objectives,
• ensure operational integrity.
• identify risks and define mitigation plans
• capture and disseminate best practices

Loss Control Principles
• Most accidents have
multiple causes
• Most injuries caused by
unsafe acts (behavior),
not unsafe conditions
• Unsafe acts indicate
attitude
• Find and treat root

• A baseline for IPM Supervisors and Designers.
• A basis for Bridging Documents.

• POLICIES & STANDARDS are not:

• A replacement for good judgement.
• A set of rules to be followed blindly.
• Static statements.
