TUGAS THERMO PART 2

1. Calculate the work done by 5 moles of an ideal gas during expansion from 5 atm at 25
oC to 2 atm at 50 oC against a constant pressure of 0.5 atm . If for the gas cp =5 cal mol-
1 degree-1, find also ∆E, ∆H and q for process ?

2. Five liters of N2 at 25 oC and 8 atm are expandeed isothermally and reversibly until the
confining pressure is 2 atm . Assuming the gas to be ideal , calculate w,∆E, ∆H and q for
the ekspansion?

3. Eight grams of O2 at 27 oC and under pressure of 10 atm are permitted to expand

adiabatically and reversibly until the final pressure is 1 atm . Find the final temperature
and the work done in the process. Assume that cp = 7/2 R for O2.
