This assignment is an individual assignment and requires you to:

Produce a guide to promote personal protection, or business protection:

1) Personal protection – promote protection to families with young children.

John and Lucy are in their 30s and have 2 dependent children, aged 6 and 8.
They have a new £250,000 mortgage on their main residence that runs for the
next 25 years. They are both employed, earning £35,000 each. They have
death in service of 4 times their salary. John has statutory sick pay terms;
Lucy gets full pay for 6 months, half-pay for the following 6 months.

In your guide, you need to promote personal protection and cover the
following:

a) Why do they need protection?


b) What products are suitable for their situation?
2) Business protection – Ltd company with 3 shareholders.

Smith Ltd is a Wealth Management company with 3 shareholders (John (48), Peter
(39) and David (37)). All 3 are married with dependent children. John holds 40% of
the shares; Peter and David each own 30%. They have 6 staff across 2 locations
and have around 1,000 clients. The business value is around £2m with a turnover of
£750,000.

They are worried about the viability of the business if something happens to anyone
of them.

In your guide, you need to include the following points:
