An essay (III): Neighborhood watch program

Many people demand to have a neighborhood watch program as a necessity to be safe

and secure. There are some disadvantages to do not have this kind of program. It is a
fact that video cameras are widely used for security purposes.
Firstly, in Peru the government give their municipalities a budget to pay the serenity to
patrol the area constantly, but lots of them just stay in their chairs and do not do
anything to protect the people who live in the district.
On the other hand, a neighborhood watch program can help reduce crime because it
can prevent crimes and scare away thieves. Also, can promote better relationships
among residents.
Although it is true that it can be used in many public areas like parks, shopping centers,
playgrounds, also can be used in the neighborhoods to return us the sense of freedom.
Furthermore, to have a watchman is important to reduce the crime rate.
To summarize, I believe that when we are in a public place and there are not cameras
or at least a watchman, it is dangerous and our privacy and security is not guaranteed.
So I consider much more important to monitor our homes 24/7 to protect our families
from any danger.
