Sathyanarayan R Dave, chairman of R.M.Dave group of companies, was born in

Chennai. He has the built-in quality of a good leader. As a student in Don Bosco School
Egmore, he was actively involved in Scouts activities. During his college days, he was
actively involved in all academic and cultural activities. He graduated as a Mechanical
Engineer from Crescent Engineering College and under went his Post graduation in
Business Administration, in New College Institute of Management, while managing the
family business.

As the eldest son of Late Mr. R.M.Dave (Ex- Sheriff of Madras and Honorary Counsel
General of The Republic of Niger, Africa) and late Mrs. Prabhavathi (Ex- Vice
President of Tamil Chamber of Commerce, Best Woman Entrepreneur AIMO
Awardee), Mr. Sathyanarayan R Dave had a stepping stone in business and has
represented leading manufacturers like M/s Addison & Co, M/s Carborundum Universal
Ltd, M/s Henkel Adhesives Technologies India Ltd, M/s Hero Cycles Ltd, M/s Hero
Honda Motors Ltd, M/s Larsen & Toubro Limited, M/s TI Cycles of India Ltd, M/s
Daewoo Motors India Ltd, M/s Dunlop India Ltd and M/s LML Limited as their
distributors/dealers. Mr. Dave has taken his family business to great heights and has
gained accolades with Engineers and Officers at all levels in TNEB, Chennai Petroleum
Corporation Ltd, Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, NTECL and NLC Power Ltd, using
his intrinsic value added service abilities. He was the drive behind the R.M.Dave group
of companies to become debt free.
Mr. Dave is serving in innumerable social, education, industrial and trade associations.
As the Vice President of The Tamil Chamber of Commerce, he had made the Diamond
Jubilee Celebrations of the Chamber a grand success, which had eminent personalities
and then Central Cabinet Ministers Mr. SS Palanimanikam and R Velu as Chief Guests.

Mr. Dave was a member in Lions Club International, District 324 A5, and had held many
positions such as President, Zone Chairman and five times as District Chairperson,
Region Chairperson and Joint Cabinet Secretary. He had extended his help in all
charitable projects of the Club and had received numerous awards including
International President’s Award.

He is a very active and involved Freemason and holds various positions in different
degrees of Freemasonry.

As a true philanthropist, Mr. Dave is responsible for the education of many deserving
children and the welfare of the elderly & needy.

His dedicated nature, honesty and humility has made Mr. Sathyanarayan Dave excel in
all positions held in business, social and personal life.
