Scope Overview
• Concrete spun pile driving.
• Construction of reinforced concrete pilecap foundation for CMP base
support.
• Installation of Multi Plate CMP High Profile Arch material according to
manufacturer’s recommendation.
• Engineered backfill to retain CMP’s shape and structural integrity.
• Installation of gabion wall.
• Construction & Installation of tunnel walkway and road guard rail.
• Construction and installation of concrete protection bollard at Haul Road
above Tunnel.
• Installation of lighting, road sign and all other accessories.

Resources – Main Equipment/Tools required

• Pile Driving Rig (2 set) suitable for 400mm dia concrete spun pile.
• Welding Machine for pile joint splicing.
• Mobile Crane to support material lifting and CMP installation.
• Tools for CMP assembly, refer to manufacturer’s instruction.
• Compaction Equipment : Hand Tampers, Mechanical Tampers, Tamping
Rollers or Vibrating Compactors.
• Scaffolding and man-cage.
Resources – material required / supplied

• Main materials supplied by PTVI for this project are :

• CMP Material
• Spun Piles
• Road guard rail
• Concrete and rebars
• Road bollard
• Electrical fixtures material (cable, Lighting, Conduit)

• All other consumable materials to be supplied by CONTRACTOR.

Check the BOM in this EWP for contractor supply.
Safety Considerations

• Piling Works, some possible hazard including Noise, vibration, hazard of

buried or overhead services, stability of the surrounding backfilling.
• Working at height to install and assembly CMP material. Need to state
methodology for material installation using man-cage or scaffolding.
• Soil compaction hazard including vibration, stability of existing ground,
heavy equipment handling.
• All other safety issues related to the contractor's work method.

Schedule:
Contractor to supply a detailed project schedule that meet the following
deadlines:

• Concrete spun piles driving start on W40, 1 October 2018 after preloading
completed.
• All works including concrete foundation, CMP assembly & installation,
backfilling and all other supporting works to be completed by March 2018.
